AGON by AOC announced the addition of new models with quicker IPS panels to its highly regarded G2 line. AGON by AOC introduces four new versions, each with or without height-adjustable stands and USB... The popular AGON by AOC G2 Monitor Models are now available at 165 Hz.
I don't really understand what's happening. I have 240Hz AOC having 27 inch, with 0.5ms since like half a year (and I was late to the party), why they are marketing after ALMOST 1-2 years the 165Hz?
And I've had a 144Hz 27" 1440p IPS for what feels like a decade (has to be over 5 years by now), yet what's out there now is barely any better than what I have, even at stupid prices. The sane-priced monitor market has stagnant trash for many years now.
QD-OLED seems to be disrupting this a bit. Obviously just Ultrawide for now but presumably we'll see 27"/32"/etc soon. Left to be seen what issues there are with the tech.. but so far it's promising.
Yes, 200 pounds. AOC C27G2ZE, more then a year ago. Now you can find second hand even at 120 I guess.
huh how about that?! 235 euros on the greek market the AOC C27G2ZE , seems a better deal indeed ...and i guess it is still around 200 pounds so yeah it is a better monitor it seems !
They're 1080p, and I bought my 1440p one (in 2016? 2017?) on sale for $500 CAD which would have been like 250 pounds. Considering I've had it at the very least for 5 years, I'm going to go ahead and say value hasn't gotten better. And mine has a great stand, that Agon with a stand that does anything is 225 pounds, so pretty close to what I paid half a decade ago for a superior monitor.
Hehe hardware in Canada is normally a significantly cheaper . I was even looking to buy from Canada , but transport fees + custom's was making the GPUs about the same price , so it was null point to do it . But yeah the PC monitor space is and was stagnant for a long time I would agree with that 100%
i had the 32" (VA) AGON for five years before i upgraded and you can bet i scoured the market doing cost/benefit for a fast IPS. my Samsung G7 replaced the Agon for about the same price, but i bought the Agon when it was new before discounts. my other fast ips i use is not the price of the ones i recommend (i got a deal) but if you want newer tech at the 27" range you have to pony up if you want more than 1080p, the going rate for a QHD/1440p with QD/ fast refresh/ adaptive sync/ IPS/HDR is the $400 range. the killer right now (price drop) is the LG Ultragear with all of the above under $400 is the 27" GL-850(B)
Is the ZE version a different panel than the C27G2U? I bought that monitor for someone (good price/specs) and that monitor should have been sent straight to the trash. Absolute terrible inverse ghosting made it unusable for gaming. Even basic desktop use ghosting was annoying
I do not know d1stru3tor mentioned that they sell that monitor with better specs so all I did was check it's price vs what is presented here if I was in the market to buy a monitor I would have been scouring the internet to find any information possible about ghosting etc.
