IGN gave Andromeda 77\100 so im gonna pass on thier review.

now on the other hand, i like this sentence from one of the reviews i did bother watching - ( spoiler free )
"Obsidian's talent for sharp writing, choice-based narrative, and complex role-playing systems have
coalesced together to create one of the strongest new IPs of the generation with The Outer Worlds"

so in general it looks good to me. now just gotta wait for the Steam release ( and probably more patches ).

this is good news since i was not happy with the latest videos of the game.

    cheers :)

Also part of Game Pass so barring UWP / Win10 Store issues the game can be played for a month for 1$ with the current constant recurring discount trial Microsoft is pushing which seems like a solid deal plus other titles as part of Game Pass on both PC and XBox.
It has certain restrictions and other quirks though but the money should also be refunded if cancelled (Or can be used to keep the subscription until it runs out of time.) though it's using UE4 so community modding could be possible.
(Meaning EGS could have a advantage there if that becomes a thing.)

Microsoft Store doesn't support modding, no idea why anyone would buy a game on there.

The game doesn't support modding either though fans could always open up UE4 and kinda force it since even with PAK encryption that's still a viable way to go about some changes but it's UE4 and they're not doing a toolkit or anything.

EDIT: Other than file access (Which is possible to overcome by a few permission changes.) the settings and other files should be completely open, did tweaking to Gears 4 and Gears 5 just fine for example. :)
(Standard UE4 tweaks of sorts, die chromatic aberration! :p )

EDIT: Need to double check that actually, pretty sure it was confirmed but just in case.

EDIT: Nope, Yes and Maybe that's kinda divisive but not a definite no at least.
It's gone from not happening to maybe but post-release if at all best as I can tell.

Do you often mod stuff? I know there is a pretty huge modding community but is it really everyone who does it? On the other hand I guess small fan made fixes also count as modding.

I usually do in these types of RPGs. I often use mods for e.g. better textures or new items and such, it adds quite a bit of variety. So, lack of mod support is a huge downside of UWP for me. Fixes or tweaks are another big part.

Can someone explain to me why this game is so praised in terms of gameplay and gfx ?
I just cant get into it i tried all fallout games aswell from 1 to 4 and new vegas.

The animations and dumb character designs and stiff lifeless overworld just dont get it for me.
Might just be me tho i dont know xD

The weird thing is i liked morrorwind oblivion and skyrim back in the day.
    But fallout never gets me.

i mod everything i can especially if i played something before and mods can change things up.

silly not to mod games to be more enjoyable or look better to you.
