It looks like i'll be waiting for a refresh or the proper 512sp release, i've been waiting forever but i'm not paying for a gimped card, if the 480sp is a lie/based on a test sample, and the first release gtx480 has the full 512sp and higher clocks, then i'm gonna get a zotac gtx480 amp edition, and i'm going to get an i7-930/gigabyte X58 UD5 and 6 gig of ram to go with it.

My gf wants new PC and it works out better for me to give her my old parts instead of her paying a lot of money for equivalent parts, we basically share out money so it works out better for both of us, she gets her PC a lot cheaper ( and faster ) and I can justify my upgrade because if I bought her pc, then upgraded mine, then i'd have a pc's worth of parts lying around, waste not!

Yep it's a hard choice for me here... 2x GTX 260 or 1x 470. 480 will be too pricy.

    good luck with that..... :3eyes:

earlier this week i was given a sneak preview of the ES GTX495 (2x 480 cores)

Nvidia went on to tell me .....''while the cooler is a little larger & the card is now housed externally, we feel it was worthwhile as we were able to gain the full 512 SP's per core & add 15mhz to the 3 respective clocks, while being able to stay under 1000c with the new *Artic Cooling* solution''

    here's the pic....

If this is an official thread then how about editing the first post to show pictures and known specs for the two cards as far as we know? You could then update it once the cards reviews are out and add stuff like which drivers support them and what features they have?

Here's the gamer special. The GTX 420. It smokes under load, the shaders only work after noon... and it forgets your settings every time you reboot...
