yes, it would! And i'd be spending hours in Oblivion devising different ways to kill bandits/marauders/daedra.

He said that the mod looks pixellated up close but the pics he gave didn't look THAT pixellated. Maybe the DoF mod is there to cover up the pixellation. It would look good like that(methinks).

Damien, do you comprehend how much memory uncompressed textures use? 4096x4096 use 48mb per texture (uncompressed) and that times many for all the pieces of LOD-landscapes + the rest of the textures. It would slow Oblivion down to a crawl you cannot comprehend.

Dude, just wait untill Qarl shows up instead of asking the same question over and over again. And deathvirus already gave some sort of solution. Why don't you try that???

Damien, yeah that pixelation is a big problem with those 4096x4096 uncompressed textures. The depth of feild mod I'm working on help out a LOT with that though, so it should be a good combination when it's finished.

Anyhoo, you should try using Blade's 2048 LOD textures with my normal maps because that's the mod I used to make the normals and it matches much better.

You can see in this shot, my 4096 normals and DoF pretty much gets rid of the pixelation:

I'm making great progress on my DoF mod, but it still needs a little tweaking, and of course, I have to do a number of different versions to accommodate people's specific systems, and also their preferred level of blurriness...

Here's some latest screenshots of the latest DoF, and also some new LOD textures and normals I made...

So there is no way to fix the pixel problem, even if its uncompressed?

Wow, that distance mod could make this game really great. I remember something similar in Shadow of the Colossus.

You are truly a master of Oblivion Qarl.
