If you dont care if your power is being used or not is not the issue. The issue here is that the government says your saving C02 and gas when your not.

The whole issue here is that the only reason real tangible savings are accomplished (in money) is because the government forces your provider to buy the energy.

While savings to your emissions are zero.

    You dont find it worrisome?

not really. im still saving money because my electricity usage has gone down. even if the provider doesnt buy my energy, i still profit, since i use the electricity from the panels first, from the grid later. and the CO2 wasnt my main reason to get them.
it would rule to have some proper large capacity energy storage, only then can solar and wind energy really come into its own.
imo, its good to have investments in technologies like these, because having more sources of energy is a good thing, regardless of any real or imagined shortcomings in current sources.

i think we are going a bit offtopic here, no?

A little, doesnt make the discussion less interesting doesnt it?

If your provider didnt buy your energy and if your system wasnt connected to the grid you wouldnt be able to live.

The connection to the grid is whats making your home work, if you switch loads very quickly with just your panel (for example) your system wouldn't work (voltage drops), when you load with motors (air conditioners) or heaters you introduce reactive elements which panels cannot control (which the synchronous generators are taking care of).

My argument is that the technology without storage elements is useless, wind on the other hand holds more promise ( I could go into the reasons why) while ultimately unless one can find a pollution less, controllable fixed method to operate a synchronous generator there is no way in hell were going to reduce C02/produce useful power. This links us back to the 'smart grid' promised by obama and his failing energy startegy.

    Yes

Is this movie complete enough in your opinion ? what's missing to show that it's really TRUE

IMHO until you see a wiretaped conversation discussing it, or an official going public about this you're not going to see anything happen

And even worse is that the movie relates their theory with the 9/11 being a conspiracy by the gvmnt

There's a more recent documentary, Fall of the Republic also made by Alex Jones which is a continuation/update of the Obama Deception. They go more in-dept of the banker takeover outlining specifically how they engineering this economic crises through derivatives and credit default swaps. It is recommended viewing.

BTW, George Carlin pretty much sums up the American government in this video, one of my favorites

Before i post my opinion about this subject, i have to that i´m portuguese and i still have not see the movie, so some of my facts could be a little off...

Regarding Obama, the only deception that happened so far was the way he and the marketing machine behind him, took advantage of the "second coming of christ" euphoria. I´m still trying to understand why so many people believed that he was so special, that he was going to change the world into a better place, just like that, like those cheesy Hollywood stories! It makes me wonder about the limits of peoples stupidity/naiveness. Of course Obama just followed along with this story, saying that he was special and was going to put an end to wars, hunger and so on... The reason why this is simply impossible, it´s because Obama´s campaign was the most expensive in the world so far, and those who put the money, want Obama to do certain things, contrary to ending wars and such stuff..., to repay all the money invested on his campaign! That´s way he said he would pull of Iraq and Afghanistan and he didn´t, because his supporters don´t want that. And so on it other matters...

As for the NWO, that´s a hidden desire for many, but for know it´s out of reach. And for know the banks can´t really control anything because, if it wasn´t for the bailout, they would be closed... But americans have to understand something, right know, they are China´s bitch!...

Obama totally bamboozled the nation. It was completely intentional. They had to continue Bush's policies and they weren't just going to select (yes select, the American people don't choose their president anymore, its pre-determined) an old white republican to succeed him. An illusion had to be projected on the American people of a new era of hope and change and a new direction for this country. Americans became infatuated with Obama but little did they know it was a move just to silence the growing anger in the country from the Bush years. They bought more time to continue the crime.

Eventually, people are going to realize that they have been defrauded and will rise up. But who knows what state this country will be in when that time comes.

We ''think too much'' we've pased the last 3 pages complaining about people that are not thinking enough, that people are careless and it's dangerous. There should never have been a crisis in the first place. But there has because the media which are usually amazing at taking out those, just did not act, they were too busy with Obama the first black president

If anything the people here are the ones THINKING, thinking less would make us animals... we don't want that!

EDIT: while listening to fall of the republic ''One could argue that the CIA is more transparent then the federal reserve'' LOOOOOOL

I voted for Ron Paun last in 2008 but it was a shame that he didn't make it cause he was our real hope and he believes in the constitution and cares about our right and this stuff obama is doing wouldn't have happened with Ron Paul.

Boy o boy isn't this the truth of the matter.

The whole obama thing makes me wonder a lot. I tend to keep my ideas on the fence.. I can play devil's advocate on a lot of issues quite happily, because there is always two sides..

But I tend to want to beleive these conspiracy theories.. especially because of just how much of it fits and makes sense. Obviously they are thought up and explained to connect those dots for the shock factor of it, but even still.. there are some things that have transpired that really make you scratch your head.. 9/11 still being up top of it.

This is nothing new, been going on for years.

The way things are I would not be surprised at all if this is all true. Are we (America) not due for a Revolution anyway?

QFT. Let's not generalize specific populations.

For me, Obama is hands down the best president I have seen in the U.S. From what my history informs me of, potentially among the ranks of FDR and JFK.

There is only one problem I have with any of his policies: his decision to "begin" to pull out of Afghanistan. I support the war in Afghanistan, and do not support pulling soldiers out of that nation for some time. He did initiate a troops surge, but the ensuing statement to eventually pull out did not sit well with me.

Aside from that, I'm with him 100% of the time.

And I want to say something as neutrally as I can, without getting an infraction. I mean this with no offense, solely as a statement: Obama's policies are not on the path of socialism - those who believe this are mislabeling his actions entirely - Karl Marx would be very upset with the name of socialism being associated with Obama's policies. Very different things here.

It's really fascinating to learn all about the nitty-gritty details of political economies/political structures and see just what everything really is - for example, the U.S. is far from being a free market. It's a mixed economy, mostly of market orientation (state-controlled postal service, military, utilities, public transportation are all violations of a free market, laissez-faire principle). Pursuing my political science minor has been one of the most enlightening things for me.

That's nice of you to say, but I would like to know if you have seen the movie and it's sequel (which I have now completed the viewing of)

It makes claims that I would like to see denied or refuted

If anything the banks owe us. We bailed them out from the volatile results of their bad practices. Whether anyone else shares in the blame is up for debate, but it is undeniable that US banks are in debt to the US government (and therefore the US people, the tax payers whose money went to them).

Your ranking those presidents with one who hasn't even been in office two years? What exactly has he done to deserve that kind of praise? I admit he's a fantastic speaker, but so was Patton to his troops and I wouldn't want him to be president.

To talk specifically about solar and wind power; per kilowatt hour the most efficient source of power is actually nuclear. It requires far more resources (concrete, steel, palladium, energy, etc) to create solar panels or wind mills than what you get back compared to nuclear power it isn't even funny.

However - I still think solar/wind have a place in any society. I'm currently living in Iowa again (where I grew up) and there are wind farms everywhere, and they are actually neat and I have always loves solar power. Neither of these can be our main source of electrical generation, but they can be used to "subsidize" the power we use.

Solar power plants are stupid waste of money, far better to simply have housing with solar, to give extra energy during peak hours and to allow coal/nuclear power plants reduce output.

Otherwise I really like the idea the military is doing research in, high efficiency solar panels in space (getting energy all the time) and beaming energy back down to earth (simcity 2000 style).
