Hi guys.
Just been browsing thru the posts, and need to make this post to get things straight in my head.
1)Why would 12 series official detonators NOT be as good as some of the older ones? Assuming they've been thru beta, how can they be a step back?, I mean some of you guys talk about using 6 series!.
2) the million dollar, annoying newbie question: which is the best detonator for GF2 MX400 64mb? (sorry, but I like the quick fix option)
3)10.8 seems to be very popular, why?
4)finally, I guess the best way is to start loading the drivers in 1 by 1 and running a bench? I HATE the hard work
Each driver offers slightly different speeds, and stability. 6.5 seem to be the most stable. 10.80's I think are the best speed wise. Of course lets not make it easy, it depends on the games you play and the hardware you have. So ask yourself, how many people could answer that question. Try the 10.80's and see if you have problems. If you think the performance is acceptable leave it at that.

The official drivers are meant to be more stable I think then fast... They have to be able to work with more setups so I think the unofficial have a better chance at being faster with the possibility of not being stable.
As for what's the best... that seems to chane from system to system even with the same stuff in them... you got it right.. you gotta do the hard work.

i think it depends on ur system.. i had the 6.5's on before and they where horrible.. i got crashes in many games.. etc etc.. but with the 12's and 12.41 it runs smooth and stable .. test them all out.. it cant hurt anything ..

if you have a GF3 then the 10.80 and lower drivers are absolutely awful - dvd playback is jerky and colour banded, and they lose you a good 300 marks in 3DM2001, as well as 10-15fps.
the best ive tried so far are the 12.60s
