    So guys,

What is the conclusion? Does it really improves gameplay (in certain games) or it does not? :frown:

Placebo effect. You started the thread by saying it improves gameplay, thus making this information getting stored in everyone brain so they are thinking it really improves gameplay.

If you'd have started the thread by saying it slows the gameplay down, everyone would complain about dx9 june slowing everything down :)

Ok. Enough talking about DX9 June... let's hijack this thread now, my fellow furry Guru3D clan friends!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this thread sort of off-topic anyway ? Last time I checked DirectX is not a nVidia Driver -- the General -> General Software and Applications section seems to be the appropriate place for this..

Edit: Yep -- just saw this: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=93193 :)

that is the reason why I haven't been that serious in some my posts. I also posted serious stuff.

PS: I think the perfomance has not, at least for me, changed a bit.

I personally think this update did nothing but keep your stuff current. No performance increase or decrease, but some more jaggies than usual.

Hahahahahaha best post I´ve seen since I joined this forum!!! :D

Now, for the DirectX update, quoted from Softpedia:

That´s all it´s got to offer?. And this increases the games´ smoothness???. I don´t mean to be rude but I´m on the placebo side... ;)

    Andrés

P.S.: Not to mention that there cannot be more smoothness without adding frames per second. One comes with the other.

God you lot are dim. When i spoke with respect for how i noticed these had sped up my machine i was speaking with some experience.

    Let me clarify

I'm a Systems Engineer thats spent years working on computers professionally, I currently am a partner in a small IT company here in Sydney. I've spent loads of time fixing people computers and most of the worst problems are down to IO errors (idiot operators).

So this update most definitely does improve on the old one, gameplay is indeeed smoother whether you measure it in frames or not. I wouldn't have bothered saying this were it not for all the dumb posts by people with no experience saying it's placebo. Well you're certainly entitled to your opinion aren't you?

I feel this update has made my gameplay smoother overall...smoother as in less hiccupping. (sp?)

    Tranzmit, well say! :dave:

FYI, I work with both the software and hardware too, and not just a gamer! I'm not a physco either lol! :flip:

Let's be fair, whether it improves or not is very much depends on your rig/configuration/os/card/games setting as well as the games you play!

This post has been receiving good responds both with negative and posistive results, and that's is axcatly what I very much wanted to see....!

Thanks for all the feedbacks, guys!

Cool it down , some people! :hatty:

    Cheers all!

made a difference in BloodMoney Hitman. not a placebo effect but may be
system specific. im extremely sensitive to how my game perform so i do notice
an improvement in my case when playing Hitman.
perhaps it improves the HDR handling and since Hitman use HDR (post-process)
that could be the answer. maybe. ;)

If these are the only changes beeing made, I highly doubt it really improves gameplay, then.
