^ They're all really nice shots, but the 3rd one stands out to me as the best. What did you use to do the BW/Colour thing? I'm not too keen on the angle shots for scenery, I only do that on action shots myself, but each to his own :).

The BW with spot colour is all done in Photoshop (its all i use), a BW layer, then remove parts of the layer using the layer mask on the BW layer. I didn't used to do angles on landscapes, if you look at my other stuff they are more "traditional" but I got to a point where I was so bored of doing "traditional" I thought I'd mix it up a bit.

    :D

Cheers for the C&C (that goes to everyone :D )

Ah, cheers for that, bud. I'll have a play next time I get PS loaded up. Still very much learning to use it ATM.

BTW, the 4th one reminds me of Lord Of The Rings :D

Good photos but the 3rd one has a couple of issues for me... The tower is cut off and that lamp on the right shouldn't be in the photo, that one is quite easy to get rid off with a bit of cropping. But next time make sure you don't have anything that could disturb the eye in your photo. I like the other ones.

Very good point, and with this pic in particualr, theres nothing stopping Photoshop's Patch tool from sorting those blips out ;)

    Raven,
I think you have a few with a 'sloping horizon'.
It may help if you check that your legs are the same length, lol.

Awesome pics dude, i love Whitby too (its local(ish) to me).

I agree with eclap, watch your framing.

right raven, i like all of them shot but #5 would have to be my favorite, just a nice clean shot of long shutters and waterfalls.. on #2 i love the focus, #4, just a clean shot that reminds me of lord of the rings as well. On shot #3 though, i like the selective coloring on the railing, but the lighthouse being colored kind of kills it for me.. and eclap thanks for the tips haha even though its not my pic, i seem to always seem something from you

RavenY2K3 I like the first one and I like the fact that it's not straight. If it was just off straight then it would look like a amateur mistake but when first viewed it just looks right. Nice pic!

Here's a couple more of my latest one's. I only started a few weeks ago and so far I'm loving it. I bought my first prime lens this week for macro work, Sigma 105mm EX DG 2.8, I've not really tried it out yet but I plan to visit the butterflies again this weekend at the natural history museum.

Had a portrait shoot yesterday, this was photographed on a 5D, using a bowens (or profoto) ringflash, and two bowens gemini's from sides.

Have two rolls to develop that were shot on Mamiya Rb67 + 180mm lens..

Been a lurker of this thread for a long while.. I like the purdy pictures from everyone :) Got myself a camera a month ago so I thought I'd join in.

I'm new to this whole photography game... so C&C most welcome.
