It was taken outside on my garden table, using a Canon 400D and Canon 60mm lens.
I also rested a black piece of card to the back (propped up against the house).
The colour you see (in the first one) is the reflection of the wooden table in the clear water, where the other 2 is diluted orange juice with the colour boosted.

I just dropped the ice cubes and fired away. Took a few attempts, but was fun having a go.

I do have strobes, but didnt use them this time. Although it may have been better if i did.
Follow my instructions above, and if you have a nice bright sun, you should get fast shutter speeds.
It takes a little practice, but very easy to do, and you dont need expensive equipment.

Looks good, but far too small to see. It needs to be 3x the size.

I dont mean exactly 3x, just anything a lot larger than what it is at the minute.

Right, i have given it a go, and quite happy with the results.
Just bear in mind its my first attempt with sudio lighting.
These 3 are my friends daughter, her boyfriend, and her son who is an actor and has just finished the new Harry Potter movie (plays teachers pet).

These aer completely untouched apart from converting from RAW to JPG and then to Black and White.

Looking good PCthug, the girl however has too much shadow on the right side of her face, kinda looks like a gap in her head. Same with the last photo.

@ raven - pretty snazzy photo's man. Good work.
