Actually i have been able to get close to bees as well. its just the respect you show these amazing and breathtaking creatures.

The first thing that comes to most peoples minds is to KILL. But hey, give them their space and they will give you space.

So theres my little lecture i guess,

but hey, even the smallest creatures are still life...

So after months of hesitation I finally decided to drop the cash and went for the Canon 24-105 L IS USM lens. Taking the first photo's right now. It's pretty amazing how good the IS on this thing is. I purchased this one primarily for product photography and well .. it's a pretty darn good lens to carry arround.

    Great Boketh as well.

    Nice photo Hilbert!!

Here's one I took at work today of the UK band 'Pigeon Detectives', I think it's pretty good given the really crappy Camera I have to work with, Fuji S5200. Anyways this isn't the best photo I took but the others have students in so I can't really upload them.

Bought a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO DG Macro Lens for my Nikon D40

Took this photo earlier tonight with it (cropped it and thats all the editing ive done) not bad for a 300mm i think.

that's due to long shutter speed and moving water. Nice job there Bluedog, would love to go somewhere as nice as that! Although in the first shot, the shadows are a bit flat. Any PP done on that?

Thanks guys and yes I shoot in RAW so my usual work flow includes Photoshop CS3, editing RAW files in ACR then making any necessary adjustments from within Photoshop.

Yeah, I use RAW and ACR too. And the same camera... Just a different lens (for landscapes).

I recently sold the 40D and moved up to the 50D, love the high resolution LCD and micro lens adjustemnt option.

I have the Canon 10-22mm, Canon 17-40mm, Canon 24-105mm IS and Canon 70-200mm lens.

All my work can be seen at My Pbase Site.
