    "the $300 picture"

went out to shoot sunrise this morning, haven't been to this particular location in ages so didn't realise the jetty was closed off to public so went onto the rock path bit further down

long story short, dropped my Lee filter holder + adapter ring along with my BW Kaesemann CPL filter into the ocean, gave myself a nice cut on the leg when I tried to climb down the rock to see if i could retrieve it (failed)

just lucky my Singh Ray reverse grad slipped out before everything went in the ocean, still the filter suffered minor scratch down the side *sigh*

Haha I know the feel, a few days ago I was taking a shot on the ocean with my pentax and a strong wave came in. luckily my tripod handled it and all was good.

couple snaps from my just arrived Sigma 50 1.4 ART lens, absolute stunner of lens, supremely sharp and contrasty wide open and I really love how it renders the bokeh/oof areas, handles busy backgrounds really well

thanks buddy, I got seriously lucky, only decided to preorder last Saturday and somehow stock came in on Wednesday? I was so sure I wasn't going to see it until August or something since I ordered so late, even the guys where I got lens from only saw it for first time when I took it out lol, and the icing on the cake was that I picked it up on a special sale for $899 xD

    Are you developing it yourself?
I used to do this years ago and it was fun to do.
Just make sure you tap the agitator to make sure that there are no bubbles in the developer or you will have spots on your slides.
