It was sort of bright red/orange/brown due to the sunlight lighting it from behind, then i just adjusted the hue for oranges and reds, changed the white balance to slightly cooler and desaturated a little bit and so on.

The pics look weird because of her lack of trigger discipline.

I didnt think they looked 'weird', what discipline do you mean? Its an 18 year old girl holding a couple of toy guns from the pound shop, lol.
    But thanks for your opinion.

Had a bit of a mess around today with a spent wine bottle and coloured water...

I will re-do them again in PS to get the glass looking better, this was just a quick mess around.

Yeah i did use a flash, it was the 430 ex, and placed to the right (on a chair), and set to 1/4 power.

I have not really photographed glass before, and to be honest it turned out really well, but when i set the white levels it almost bleached out completely so i brought it back but FAR too much (hense the gray look). I ran out of time as a needed to pick the wife up, so i will knock it back again when i have more time.

I will watch that vid later tonight when the wife is at night class.

    UPDATE, i have adjusted them.

Not bad for a quickie but a bit too heavy on contrast imho.

Great shots Igor, love the grittyness of the first and the light on the second. :)
