5D ? Heh i wish! Try 400D... Been serving me good though, only reason i'd like to upgrade the body is for better noise control and maybe a slightly higher MP count although 10.1 has been serving me just fine so far.

Was wondering how you pulled that off. I'm going to do some research NOW!

Thanks (Repo too). Canon T3i/600d with Canon lenses - a 70-300 f/4.0-5.6 for the action shots and a 15-85 f/3.5-5.6 for the others. First time shooting action and was really surprised to be able to maintain fast shutter speeds into the night at a reaonable ISO. I had a great time!

C'mon guys, don't turn it into a discussion thread. You could use the PM system.

This is one taken by my mum. We were traveling back from Italy in the motorhome when I was around 15 (8 years ago) and hit a heavy storm, I forced her to try and get a picture of the lighting and it paid off!

ISO is a little high due to lighting but I'm sure you'll understand the hard it is to get a picture of this traveling at 50mph on the road trying to keep a camera steady. I'm very proud of my mum for this shot.

number 3 was my favorite until i noticed her how her hand is and the placement of it. apart from the hand, the pose is GREAT.
but the hand makes it seem like shes pregnant, or just an awkward "i didnt know where to put it" situation.

so i guess, i'll go with the first and fourth. even though (at least to me) im not very fond of how the eyes are looking at the right in the first picture.

    Thanks igor.

I wanted to try and get away from the model looking at the camera, to make it less 'pose like', but most people seem to like the eye contact better so may have to use the ones where she is looking at the camera now instead.

Damn, Chief, you've really got a handle on your lighting. I also like your composition - especially number 2. Great job!

Whoops....sorry. I forgot there's no talking allowed in here.

Thank you, Uncle Dude. All the lighting was with 2 off camera speedlights, one with a bounce umbrella and one as a fill light with a shoot through umbrella. The flashes were shot in manual mode and triggered by Cactus V5's.

Here is another from the shoot, this time using natural light and softened in post processing to get the look I was after.

PCthug, A really great set of photos but i like the ones looking at the camera. Maybe the others are looking to far out of camera and feel false but that I just my opinion. The exposure, location and model are just perfect and compliment each other very well.............it's giving me a few ideas for my next shoot.
