hi i own a 5770 (VTX VX5770 1GBD5-H) since today but can not read or change the voltage in any tool. do you have an idea why and can i vmod it? if yes how can i do that?
can i flash it back when it does not work? i mean flashing it back so that VTX will not see that there was another bios on that card.
IF the PCB is a cheap stripped down version of the original SKU i would not recommend flashing it with a bios for a fully loaded card like MSI,ASUS,Sapphire REV1. ect.
use msi afterbuner and go to configaration file(MSIAfterburner.cfg) edit it. EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 1 and UnlockVoltageControl = 1 UnlockVoltageMonitoring = 1 but u will lose the amd power play edit: ur pcb is non standrad. dont flush..,,
Most problems I see with 5770 is automatic clock change: Problem is in video card itself. It crashes as it changes frequences and voltages. So I enables overclocking in CCC made new profile with it. After I edited lines that are in my new profile, which located in - C:/Users/Account Name/app data/local/ATI/ACE/Profiles/ (just type %data% to get that secret folder) - Code: <Feature name="CoreClockTarget_0"> <Property name="Want_0" value="85000" /> <Property name="Want_1" value="85000" /> <Property name="Want_2" value="85000" /> </Feature> <Feature name="MemoryClockTarget_0"> <Property name="Want_0" value="120000" /> <Property name="Want_1" value="120000" /> <Property name="Want_2" value="120000" /> </Feature> <Feature name="CoreVoltageTarget_0"> <Property name="Want_0" value="1200" /> <Property name="Want_1" value="1200" /> <Property name="Want_2" value="1200" /> </Feature> <Feature name="MemoryVoltageTarget_0"> <Property name="Want_0" value="0" /> <Property name="Want_1" value="0" /> <Property name="Want_2" value="0" /> However those are my values, be don't copy paste it. Idea is, to make stable voltage and frequences, so CCC doesn't automatically changes values. Hope it helps to whoever who got sent here with same problem. Worked for me and other people.
