No way, do you notice the edges of the screen when you are playing on one screen ? ... no ... because you are busy concentrating on the game.
So, just as when you are using one screen you don't notice the edges of the screens or the bars because you are too busy concentrating /playing the game on the centre screen, as the sidescreens add to the immersion giving you peripheral vision.
The immersion is great, giving a view that is far closer to the way your eyes work in reality, way more than just one screen could do.

 

So you're using 3 monitors for that res? Isn't it a bit annoying having to look all the way left or right to see your HUD?

Many game have the HUD on the central monitor when playing on THG (like GRID), for others there are some mods and tweaks released by the widescreen community to add it on central too - but yes, when its not possible, specially using trackIR in games like Arma 2, its quite annoying.

The quad bike is from a downloadable content pack called Fortunes pack, and my avatar is the janitor from Scrubs

this is a little bit higher than 5040x1050 think it is 5180x1050 the extra pixels covers for the monitor borders so that the image looks correct continuous or fluid hard to describe, when crossing from one monitor to the other.
