I am running at 1440x900 right now...frames between mid 20's up to high 30's
the game is not well optimized at all IMO.

Nice vids of BSA51....I may have to get that game.

I am having fun playing crysis....however I have had a few annoying glitches and even had a script error ...where a level would not end properly...I found a walk around for it on the internet...for a game with this much hype it is NOT very polished IMO. I guess I was just expecting more. It seems like all they worked on was makin it "pretty"....they did all right at that.
That being said I am still having fun playing it

Crysis: DX10, heavily modded, my own made ultra high config, 1900x1200 captured, 29fps avg. custom maps, custom time of days.

i finally realized how to be rid of that annoying haze with flashlights and headlights and made it very realistic, though i dont have any pics showing that off yet. going to tweak the HDR a tad more and after that my autoexec will be complete and as perfect as its going to get i suppose. now to wait for warhead

thanks, someone even thought i photoshopped the previous ones on page 43 lol

i need to bind the key to turn on/off hud...easier for me

but i cant make it work. i tried bind 9 r_cl_hud = 0 ...or however it goes into autoexec but doesnt work.

i just hate typing it into console all the time

i'll post plenty more this week when i have time. i still need to install some other older games i have as well.

Most of the config that changes you to "think" its better, is Diff SSAO levels, HDR, and TOD settings.

Ive have got a config that gets rid of EVERY popup....like...nothing...

My average FPS is around the 20-25 Fps, This is with every over Very High, inlcluding textures.

Just download some Custom maps before you Use a Custom Config, You can see The Custom TODs already implemented into the Map.

These are Some

DX10 All Very High With Stock TOD and Stock Map And 1 Custom Map, With just some Added No popup and better textures. These havnt got what XRC has done, Custom TODs and Custom HDR makes it Come to life, ill get some Custom shots now.!!

Have you played much BF2? comparisons? honestly i think id hate a game like that with a controller, had a crappy FX5200 when i started BF2 and spent 2 years trying to get my K/D ration to one and its still only at .76( cos as you know i have $hit net lol ). BF2 when i had good net connection and played plenty of clan matches was about having the fastest shot especially headshots

 

i'm gonna share a couple of quick secrets of which i plan to share it all in another and approprate thread of course.

driver tweak: high quality mode/supersampling with NO digital virbance *gasp* no time to explain, just get used to it

some autoexec files such as cubans or ultra high config 1.3 whatever, are pretty good but they also uses comprimises to give better frame rates. the comprimises are subtle but if you want the best and have the rig to handle it, you need to config every single variable to the max the engine allows. beyond that its down to adjustments like HDR..etc,

darker SSAO levels need to be used in conjuction with gamma and contrast in the crysis settings. this is important cause ssao will make some parts too dark. my experimentation shows that darker SSAO levels with gamma/contrast adjust is more realistic than any lighter SSAO level with both no g/c adjust and darker g/c adjustments. i dunno why nor do i care.

configure your monitor apporpriatly before making any other visual adjusts.
i cant imagine any card less than either the 9800gx2 or gtx 280 should be used for my autoexec but two words...texture mods, obtain them!

these are taken at 1280x1024 4x AA...which isnt a bad comprimise to 1900x1200 with no AA.

 

Well there is no prone or parachutes, sometimes its laggy.

Other than that its very similar to BF2, by the way i've had every BF game going.

Flying the Heli is really hard, which was my fav. in bf2.

The controls are similar to COD4(PS3).

Stop playing BF2 a while ago though, was playing with a MOD clan BOMSF.
