Splinter Cell Conviction

damn this game is really good, loving it so far (maybe not as much as Death2Spies which
is my favorite stealth game of all time and i've yet to complete the 1st or 2nd they're too hard), i couldn't believe the menu had an option to enable AA, i think that's a first for the U3 engine, performance is good 40-60fps average with 4XAA, 16XAF and maxed out settings.

 

Actuallt I think they're using their own engine, the last UE3 game I remember that supports AA is Batman.

These don't really do a good job of representing the games scale/graphics, its a really nice engine imo and the maps are pretty large and with so much detail.

oh yes i forgot Batman did support AA.

strange though, when you start SC the intro shows "unreal engine" so i doubt they're using their own engine, or maybe a blend?

You ever play the console versions? Ever notice how when your in the heli, everything gets blurry, and the cars just become glowing orbs of light in the distance? Check out these screens on the pc. Huge difference. Look, you can actually see the cars even way in the distance.

thanks, i would have never guessed this is UE 2.5, they surely did a great job, infact i like this UE 2.5 much more than most UE3 game, kudos to the developers.

been playing Left 4 Dead lately and here are some screenies and I forgot to enable AA to x2 when I took these screen shots so sorry for the jagged edges..

 

Is Settlers 7 any good? I used to hammer The Settlers on the Amiga, and i used to ****ing be addicted to that game, but i've never been able to bond with any of the Settlers games since then.. not one of them.
