Just finished my first CS:S aim_texture map.
So wait, you aren't going to texture that? :|
Looks dull. I'd throw in props here and there and make a complete level out of it.
But that's just me.

Please note that the four lower pics are done with rather low tech by today's standards. They run on Unreal Engine 2.5 (the one in UT 2004), the upper one is from an UT 3 map.

Nah, that's why these kinds of maps are called texture maps =)
Most other texture maps don't have dynamic, enviroment, or HDR lighting. With that said, by comparison, most texture maps usually don't look this good =P
the point of aim texture maps is to strip away all the superfluous crap, leaving only obstacles and the terrain to navigate. all thats left to do is utilize cover, move up strategically, and aim as hard as you can :nerd:

To be fair it'd be a lot more authentic if he artificially added the 1" black strips through his screenshots.

You can download the screenshots, add these "stripes" using PS or something and keep them to yourselves. ;-)

yes it clearly useless to have a bigger view, you must be still using a 14inch monitor with that logic too
