can you believe this is 2014 ? it's 8 years old.

 

I can, actually Graphics in games haven't really gotten that much better. It seems they need like 10 times the GPU power for like 1.5 times better graphics. Looks like we've been way past the diminishing returns phase for quite a while now.

 

this runs at 55-59fps the way you're looking at the screenshot by the way

 

I totally agree, the only need for more power these days IMO is to run at the higher resolutions.
I recently after not gaming for about 8-10 years played BBC2 SP and this old rig upsampled the game looked great and played with very smooth FPS
with all the bells and whistles, and I had a super fun experience. Enough so that I am going to do a new build, just so basically I can play the newer stuff the same way that I played BBC2

I do absolutely agree about the graphics in games though, they are better , but definitely not night and day and especially with a fast moving game in motion.

One time in RDR2, I was riding at night and saw a fire in the middle of a forest. Got close to see what it was, and found a KKK meeting. But they didn't see me.
So I threw a stick of dynamite into the fire, and blew them all up.

Too many games had nazis to hill, but so few had kkk members as enemies. Such a waste of potential.
