    Slowly getting to that Assassin's Creed tech they had up until Revelations with some blurbs about how the Animus projected the subjects face onto the digital ancestor. Man that's going to be a weird thing in MMO's if that ever happens. :p
    Don't have the image for it now but I recall one of the sports games (FIFA?) also having tech like that so one very creative person used that and a picture of a baby with...interesting...results. :D

    Suppose it's neat to see a system for skin layers, wrinkles and other details too instead of the usual smooth faces which this sort of tech could also simplify implementing or in some early cases like Oblivion get it to look slightly less "off" for a lack of better word. (Just hit random and never ever turn the camera for a profile view of what just got created and it's all good.)

    Or Dark Souls I suppose, Demons Souls especially since the sliders can be mixed to go beyond broken creating some truly unique creations.


    And speaking of Creed that wolf helmet is definitively one of the better choices for helmets, liking the Pegasus armor too but it's premium RNG chance and like many other sets unless modded the torso model applies a appearance effect.

    Guessing it's another cut part and was intended as a settlement early on but then got turned into a small interior location with some loot and curious amount of detailing compared to other interior areas.

    Massive got back from Summer vacation but TU6 is still going to take a while so just doing random things finishing up Gunner grinding and other misc things.

    The great "Brrrt" in all it's brrty glory though only when used by actual hostiles, in player hands it's kinda lessened in efficiency because you're the glass cannon, everyone else is a tank. :D

    More fancy street art and some fun with the environment, always liked these in games though they're easily missed or overlooked.

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint (Beta but not under NDA.)

    Lots of temporal effects and even with the frame reconstruction stuff off there's a fair amount of ghosting (Hu hu.) and blur but downsampling can fix, GPU might throw a fit though or just catch fire. :D
    Throws you right into the game too so post the little Hoo-Haa intro video of bad-ass and total fail it's options time and a restart because the texture settings need at least main menu and back to apply but the game is super hella aggressive about unloading and trimming those view distances (It IS the Assassin's Creed Anvil after all added to a bit. :D ) so eh it looks good but takes some fiddling and photo mode seems to be off for the beta. (F4 by default for keyboard settings.)

    At least unlike the Skulls-Girls of a certain other game these Wolf dudes don't leave their arses hanging out of their uniform...

    (And here comes the side quests but first some exposition and drama.)

    So a bit of RPG mechanics and taking a page or two from Elex where off the beaten path exploration will reward you but also kill you because these dudes here are low level for some reason and these over here are hella high level for some other reason. Might be fun, seems a bit mixed so far but eh just treat it as the way Assassin's Creed changed into a service game and role-play with the military dudes and the silliest hat with the highest number is the best one...unless it's a premium item in which case the extra shininess factor makes it even better. :p


    EDIT: TMI facts. Don't fire a large caliber pistol one handed and the size might look cool but it's just unwieldy.

    EDIT: Should probably call the lead Wolf guy for the Compensator already, wouldn't surprise me if he's going with a .400 something pistol matched with a .50 anti-materiel rifle....
    (Or those fancy big show-off .95's for when you really want a pink mist effect going.)

    Characters don't really have much depth so curing cutscenes a depth of field effect brings some for players to appreciate.

    EDIT: Meanwhile in Assassin's Creed Odyssey when that guy said his wife was a real battle axe he meant it.

    EDIT: Gears 5 or Gears of War 5 or Rears 5 really considering much of it is third person staring at your characters behind as you peek around convenient chest high cover placed almost everywhere.

    Excellence performance and the cutscenes are pretty fancy though overall visual quality is more mixed but it is aiming at a higher framerate so texture and object detail tend to be sacrificed for more impressive cinematic set pieces and the main characters themselves.

    (Bit like Tomb Raider particularly Shadow and Rise and the transition from cutscene visuals to game visuals though then again so does AC Odyssey and Breakpoint and lots more games really.)


    EDIT: There's underlying tech improvements and advancements of course and other changes but visually overall it's still very much 2014 - 2015 although a closer look will show some neat tricks and fancy enhancements. :D
    (D3D12, async compute and visually there's improvements to AA, upscaling algorithms for resolution, shadows and a lot more even if it feels visually similar to titles such as Ryse or Rise of the Tomb Raider or Assassin's Creed Unity and others back when PBR made a clean divide in old look plastic and new look shiny. :p )

    EDIT: Game likes to jump into fancy high-res pre-rendered videos for some of the cutscenes, usually from the stuttering and hitching it's easy enough to discern one from the other but not always. :)

    EDIT: Aww looks like the display driver doesn't like this very much but eh could be AMD, could be the game or both or the third party utility so not too worrying ha ha.

    There, updated the likes on this page because I keep forgetting about that.

    Control's excellent to see although I find the character detail to be a bit odd but I also compare it heavily against Quantum Break and the environments still hold up really well and not entirely sold on RTX though I know the tech itself is better though it's not always clearly visible and there is a performance hit but it will improve further.

    Gears is also quite a looker and it's fun to play even if it's a cover to cover shooter but it works well with what it does and the Unreal Engine build here is both pretty fancy looking and quite optimized which is really nice to see even using some additional less common features.

    Silent Hill's a fantastic horror series although I never played the earlier games (Mainly consoles and then the PC port was sub-optimal missing effects and what not but it's being fixed by mods.) though it holds up really well from what it's looking like and the gameplay and horror and atmosphere still seems almost unmatched plus story and gameplay and how it all ties in particularly for the second game as I am hearing it.
