    Seems to run well enough so far but that's only a short tutorial level and this first part of the introduction to the game, plenty of options to play around with though including dynamic resolution (down) scaling (set to 100%, default to 70% but I don't want it to scale down.) and also a form of temporal AA plus the usual shadows and texture quality and so on, also allows for setting FOV and on Nvidia GPU's I'm guessing it might support hardware TXAA and also Ansel for screenshots.

    Uses DirectX 11, probably ReShade compatible too.


    EDIT: And no there's no save import or anything and the events from the first game are only recalled in minor detail leaving much open to however the player him/her-self made it through the game.

    Of course last time I played through the first game was with high chaos and Emily being pushed off a building to her death.
    (Doing Corvo first this time but might give her a try to eventually, probably specific endings for both characters and also high or low chaos or whatever it will be in this game.)

    EDIT: Going by Steam forum discussion so far some users have very erratic performance in the game and some are having problems with extremely long load times (They weren't very lengthy for me at least for these first two maps.) so it might require a update or two to get in order unless it's system specific and not game specific.

    Pretty sure the day-1 release update is already part of the Steam version, game unlocks for most of the rest of the world in a few hours but they might possibly squeeze in a patch just before or shortly after that, I don't know what the current post-release plans for the game are either.
    (Might not need that many patches but that's probably being overly optimistic, no idea on DLC plans as well but I think they had something planned for that.)

    Good art in this game, amazing design really although very demanding too.

    From a resolution of 2560x1440 a 2x resolution downsampling from 5120x2880 would probably look really good but I don't have anywhere near the GPU power for that as it already drops to low 30's in places.

    ...Not that I could even do 2x 2560x1440 in the first place though since AMD VSR is limited to "just" 1.5x as it caps out at 3840x2160 unless you have a newer driver and a 400 series GPU but still, heh well even "4K" is extremely demanding and VRAM is a bit limited too for the Fury so it's going to be fun to see what AMD and Nvidia introduces next year, plus AMD and Intel on the CPU side of things.

    But as for the game itself really enjoying it, AI could be better even on v.hard but eh it's a modern game and they do pose some challenge at least whether you go all out or try to use stealth or at least non-lethal.
    (Level itself also allowed for a lot more exploration than it at first appeared though taking screenshots also slowed down progress, bit above two hours all in all though it can be done in under 30 minutes too though why rush, ha ha.)


    EDIT: Also standard gameplay shots although HUD is toggled almost entirely off and the weapon is sheathed, can't use Ansel with a AMD GPU so no free flying all over the place going all 360' nohud. Ha ha!
    (Not a bad utility as such though, seems it could do with a tad more work for the implementation in this particular game however from what I've read.)

    Yeah it looks amazing. Game is just plain fun. Despite the FPS problems atm, this is GOTY for me. quite immersive.
    I had some funny things though

    Like a jump take down from above and seeing the character flying 20ft in the air haha :D
    also its fun to kinda force characters into objects. like in posts or the garbage container.
