EDIT: Bit of a mixed bag visually during the gameplay segments though cutscenes generally look very good, fun though very simple to play so far although maybe it'll get more complex later on.

Having finished with Syria and the tomb part of that map I've been reminded again of the Prince of Persia franchise, maybe Ubisoft will actually do something with it one of these years ha ha.

 

Their last info was that the PoP franchise it's not owned by them. And it seems they are not planing any new PoP sadly.

And it's correct. HBM memory, low clock speed but wide bus width. The effective clock speed is 1000 MHz.

 

Ah right, nice, thought your clocks had gotten stuck or something

 

Can be overclocked further with the latest version of utilities like Afterburner or TriXX as well although it needs some more voltage and I don't think either the Fury or Fury X clock all that high above stock speeds though 1100 core and 550 - 600 memory seems doable from what I've read though it needs some extra voltage so there's more heat and it draws more power.

(Really enjoyed what I've played so far.)

EDIT: Oh and yeah one of the options allows cinematics to be realtime instead of pre-rendered, there's a bit of a visual difference between the cinematic sequences and the normal gameplay ones, heh.

Does it run well on that 970M? looks like you have pretty much maxed out the graphics.

 

yep all normal, like Anarion said, HBM.

 

I don't have issue running it, yes I maxed it out all but I put AA as SMAA only.

So far I don't have issue in any games I play, all in maximum setting.

I don't options must get 60fps, I find games fine in between 40fps, for me games not lower than 30fps still playable, 40fps is enough, 60fps off course great but not a must.

Thanks this customize laptop don't have any throttle issue so far.

Sure is a large gap between the normal game visuals and the cutscenes, guess with enough downsampling the regular game could look OK - or with "hacks" such as modifying the camera or FOV to a greater degree - but these screenshots are almost entirely from various cutscenes.
(There's a couple of screenshots in the NeoGaf PC screenshot thread showing scenes like that although I do not know if any of the public tables have those features yet.)

 

By the way I just tick show FPS. Rise of the Tomb Raider can play around 35 to 45 fps in my laptop Nvidia Geforce GTX-970M 6GB.

 

The best character models to date.

 

Strooongly disagree. They look fine, just.. well, most besterestst evuh or something, not.
Ubisoft probably have in cut-scene mode the most detailed/good looking ones. Their games suck, models gut tho. Witcher 3 pretty close too, if only it weren't for those open world console restrictions.

 

The character models look damn good.

But, what makes them the "best ever" is up to the person viewing them. BF: Hardline's character models are damn near movie quality, but I've seen people complain about them.
Crysis 3... mind-blowing detail and realism... yet, some don't like them.

People praise the facial animation in HL2, yet to me it looked more like what it thinks people look like instead of what people actually look like.

To each his own.
