Nice environments, update 1.17 also added these Chinese lanterns that look completely out of place but there's additional bug fixes and preparation for the next content update. (It's a rabbit creature of sorts it seem.) And I still can't hit a moving target, but hey the environments sure are nice. :p

EDIT: As for actually hunting yeah you would shoot when it's stationary, here though even after this update that bug with wounded animals teleporting away or just disappearing is still occasionally happening so best to double tap if the first shot isn't enough.
(And if it's a distant shot chances are the body will have vanished when you get to it to tag the kill.)

    The "best"
(The things you can do with a first person camera, and the things you were never meant to see up close. :D )

    The rest

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Mostly just quick test, check how it runs and set up stuff like SpecialK and it's shader hotkeys for UI toggling and I played up until near the end of the chapter I think though there's more to explore and probably a few side quests to discover. And some new content though it won't be available anytime soon.

Far as SpecialK goes it's set as such for the toggles:

    [Macro.HUDToggle]
    Shift+F3=D3D11.ShaderMods.Toggle Pixel 0x469a5a39 Disable
    Shift+F4=D3D11.ShaderMods.Toggle Pixel 0x06e0325e Disable
    Shift+F5=D3D11.ShaderMods.Toggle Pixel 0x9499baff Disable

First one is the UI text, second is the UI shadows on said text and the last one is the UI itself.
(For NVIDIA users Ansel also provides alternatives and some of the HUD elements can be disabled in-game from the options menu.)

Gameworks is off, everything else was maxed though FPS was around low to mid 20's and then dropped even lower after a while so reducing shadow and lod distance and cutting texture cache remains to be tested to see what provides the best gains.

Far as the config file looks like that would be this:
60 FPS limit instead of 120 since the physics get a bit too wonky if you can't keep it steady, jumpy or how to describe it particularly the car so driving takes forever when the suspension is going crazy bouncing all over. :p

Luma scale was pushed up but without HDR it doesn't really do anything, 1000 is still a bit low though from my understanding but also quite common for game HDR settings.

Hardware full screen or exclusive is off in favor of a borderless window.

Rest is mostly maxed though LOD is up a bit I think and the texture cache was cut when I noticed it assigned the full 4 GB on highest so I reduced it by 1 GB to allow for other data too for both the game and the OS, it's not just textures in there ha ha.

Now to fine tweak it, probably have to cut shadow detail down by about half which is no fun since they're still pretty poor looking (And PCSS is grayed out on AMD but the performance hit would have been too high anyways.) and the terrain LOD probably has to be lowered too.

Nothing to be done about the gradual performance degradation though, possibly a resource leak but might just be that there's too little VRAM available, could do with some testing I suppose but reports indicate the demo already had a build up of memory over time so probably not much to be done about it. :)

Nearing the end? Thought it would have taken longer but I suppose if you've already played the console version it might not take long to get through the game again. :)

Liking the rendition of Cerberus in this Final Fantasy game, looks like there's some pretty interesting regular enemy encounters too and then the late or post-game hunt challenges.
And I guess Omega is somewhere in the ruins as well now.
