Darksiders Gedosato/4K/No HUD

 

Nice Darksiders shots. Good game but daaammmnnn I found it to be sooo long! Plenty more screenshot opportunities i guess

Normal gameplay screenshots since there's not much else possible with this game, seems to be using DirectX 11 so GeDoSaTo downsampling isn't compatible (yet) and it uses some shader AA only (FXAA?) so there's some aliasing.


Gameplay is more like to Sacred Citadel than the previous games but this is by a new developer studio though they changed a lot of things, sadly.

Instead of open world it's closed and linear where you follow a scripted path through the current level past waves of enemies.

No loot system, enemies only drop gold and "orbs" used for stuff like health and experience.

Checkpoint saving only.

No character customization though there are a few character "classes" to choose from but they all have a pre-defined name (And background.) already.


Will see how it changes in later levels, a good effort from the studio but not really a Sacred game other than using some of the story elements and background lore.

-Darksiders looks great without the HUD. Time to make another playthrough with GeDoSaTo.
-Comments about Sacred 3 has been very disappointing so far. :/

I like the varied environments though each area is it's own separate map.
(And the "side quests" are mostly mini dungeons though also on separate levels.)


EDIT: Also really liking the Doom 3 images above, shame that AMD altered Catalyst AI on the 6000 series and newer I think it was so due to some optimizations Sikkmod is highly incompatible and performs quite poorly.
(Alternate binaries fixing and updating the source code work even worse, shame the BFG edition is so restrictive with mods or porting it over to that would have been one solution though still a huge undertaking due to the engine changes.)

ejem..how is the way to activate with gedosato??

 

Here is my Darksiders config. Unpack and simple copy in gedosato config folder.

download Flawless Widescreen

Set downsampling resolution in gedosato.
Set same resolution in Flawless widescreen.
Start game and choose resolution from menu.

I use latest gedosato. With numpad 0 toggle HUD and hudless screenshot work too.

 

And that's it, Sacred 3 is finished and possibly the entire franchise with it due to the very low scores it's getting in reviews currently.

A fairly average game on it's own and more in common with Sacred Citadel than the main franchise so no wonder the fans of these games are irritated by the decision to name it Sacred 3, will be interesting to see what happens now with this game and the developers behind it.
