Just two quick screens from Far Cry 4, would seem that this gun shoots off the fur of whatever animal it hits. :p

Passed Steam Greenlight and then appeared on Steam Early Access, it's improved tremendously since those early builds were first released to the public but there's a lot more work remaining though so far it's shaping up nicely.

It's still pretty rough but more and more game mechanics are coming together, there's a spell system based on elemental stones now though I have not yet had time to test it myself.

There's a inventory with tabs for quest/journal entries, skills and a map.

Various armor and weapon types are in the game although as of today's patch when you die everything respawns so I have not gotten that far yet since even simple bandits deplete your characters health pretty quickly not to mention those soldiers I found on the other side of the island, would like to get their armor though.

The game world is still being constructed and the layout is pretty similar to how it first looked but it's been fine tuned a bit with additional foliage and other clutter, more areas to explore as well such as underground caves and I believe they have two boss type battles available in the game as well.

Some dialogue is also possible with a few of the named townspeople but it's pretty rudimentary with a crude looking interface though it is functional.

Performance is pretty good but some of the usual Cry-Engine tweaks I use needs to be adjusted as this is CryEngine 3.5.9 and not the newest 3.6.x builds, the developers did switch from I think the first release was actually on version 3.4.x of the engine so it was a major upgrade but it took a lot of time so I don't think they'll move up to 3.6.x since that would be even more work.
(Remaking the materials for physically based rendering and shading for one thing plus many functions in the engine that might have changed or become deprecated and needs to be replaced entirely.)

It might not have the budget of Kingdom Come: Deliverance (To compare it against another CryEngine game with somewhat similar gameplay.) but they do seem to have a pretty good team and progress is steady though at the moment they are preparing for the "GDC" show so I imagine things will be a bit slow this coming week.

Could perhaps be compared to Lichdom: Battlemage too as a smaller indie type game which also had a successful Steam early access release that slowly saw the game change from that first version to the final release based on bug reports and other feedback from players.
(It can take time though and early-access is always a risk with some projects being stuck for years or at worst abandoned and rushed out in a buggy near unplayable mess.)

Uses this ReShade / SweetFx 2.0 shader for a paint like effect with two variations (Tried to get a few comparisons of them.) and also the ability to adjust radius / strength.
    http://reshade.me/forum/shader-presentation/261-paint-effect-and-depth-buffer-based-cel-shading#1985

This one is "kingeric1992's paint effect"
    http://postimg.org/image/z89e2gpnj/full/
(This one is tricky to capture in motion as the effect nearly "flows" or moves around in motion, not sure how to best describe it.)

And this is the "Basic kuwahara filtering" effect.
    http://postimg.org/image/5hm9gp4nz/full/

It's difficult to find good settings for the radius value (The two above images use "3" so it's pretty light.) as it has slightly different effects on these two techniques and it probably needs to be changed with every game for best results.

that paint effect seems strong on the image quality

Yeah it needs tweaking to get the effect right, plus preferably someone who unlike me knows more about image composition in order to create a scene that could actually feel like a painting instead of a smudged overlay on the image. :D

I haven't tried it but if the radius value in sweetfx_settings.txt can be further fine tuned such as 0.00 to whatever the max is (Values above 9 really hit the framerate.) instead of only full integer values that could really help with adjusting the effect strength and appearance.

Some games might also have a style more suited to experimenting with this effect instead of something like Far Cry 4 here with a lot of finer details that might otherwise be lost with a shader like this.

    EDIT:
Of the above screens this one is probably the one that came out best.
    http://postimg.org/image/7buikp2an/

And I really like how the blood effect turned out in this image.
    http://postimg.org/image/5hm9gp4nz/

(But as I took the screens I know how the scenes looked without that filter enabled so I can tell what is what whereas someone else might just see a horrible smear in these screenshots.)

    EDIT: Dying Light

(The last two images use the paint shader again but the rest are normal.)

Just messing around with UE ,performance is very good and it looks great. Unfortunately there's no SLI support.
