Didn't Zinfinion turn you on to it?

    I'm talking about here ;)

And Zinfinion pointed out that there are actually monitors with that ratio. But if you want to know who really started me on it, it was Anthemios\Trillville on Flickr. Check out his stuff. It's glorious.

I've used his Skyrim ENB's before so I know who he is. And you'd be surprised how many people cross browse forums. His screens look good but anyone using PS to alter them is a no thank you from me. It really needs to be done in game and playable for me to care.

I'll mess around with curves a little I guess.

I didn't mean his Bioshock :p Moreso his Skyrim \ ENB shots. They're insane. And that map he's making for Crysis 2 is gorgeous.

Not sure why he color corrects in Photoshop. I guess the more artsy folk out there can't resist...

Anywho, I guess I'll post some screens while I'm here.

In my eyes downsampling makes the image very blurry.

But in some games it does look good, i tried it in PS2, wow what a world of a difference.
The colors seem to pop out more too, aye??

Downsampling cannot make the image blurrier except if there are some post processing tied to resolution and it is causing blurring bugs.

It can only trick you in thinking it is blurry because it hides aliasing more and everything is more defined.

In my shot, there is DOF behind the guy.

I'm pretty sure it does indeed make the image blurrier. You're rendering at a certain resolution and then trying to cram it into a smaller amount of pixels.

We are not using the same downsampling then.

I couldn't get 2160p to work, but thanks to google i found a way.

Can anyone explain how the image gets better colors when downsampling?
SweetFX isn't even needed anymore imo when downsampling.

Except for the sharpening and SMAA ofc...

You can't enable it. Stupid devs locked it down... even though they left it in Bioshock 1\2. Boo hiss. I used cheat engine to hack it in myself, though it's not the same. I use hotkeys to change my coordinates, but it works like no-clip because I can still go through the air and through walls.

I've also never seen downsampling make a game blurrier. Yall are crazy.
