What's a game with a good looking UI for you Phreakuency?
I think Rift has nailed it with even its default look, but also custom options.
Maybe it's just me being more used to one than the other, I would be happy to admit that if that's the case. However, in GW2, the icons don't look hi-res, the text isn't sharp, the XP bar looks tacked on.
Again, maybe just personal preference. Not hating on the game so much, just it's look.
GW2 - My little elemental .
Doesn't look high res, lacking in crispness? - Nah! (and these pics aren't even max graphics).
I think you really just have something against the style they went with for the game, because I find it very appealing, unlike Rift's UI which I just googled and found it so awful that I felt like I could do a better job in Photoshop.. x_x
I won't go as far as to say that GW2 is a fully high res game, but then again, what games are? even stuff like Crysis 2 has some low res crap if you look for it. I feel like on the move, GW2 looks very (WQ)HD to me, I'm playing at 1440p and it scales nicely. I'm using Native for texture scaling and I have the UI on default or small, can't remember, here's a random jpg:
Not really sure what you don't find sharp in there, just looks very crisp to me and you have to keep in mind it's a MMO game, with how big the game is overall, the amount of different themes they went with (winter, jungle, desert zones etc), I feel like they nailed it minus some areas - there's always room for improvement.
Guild Wars 2
Transformers: FoC - 2xSGSSAA
Dwarven ruins always have been my favorite dungeons
The fine detail that went into almost everything can be quite amazing at times
in goin to have to give this map a try looks bloody cool
a few from Guild Wars 2, level 60-70 areas
frozen death xD
