best 19.99$ i spent this year, even though the game was butchered by most reviewers back in 2009. :biggun:

it's not Crysis graphics wise and the AI may not be the smartest, but at least it's vietnam based, it's bloody, got infected vietcongs, it's kinda creepy, i love it, would've gladly paid 100$ at the time had i known how good this game was.

Turning Point

 

Experimented with a lot of different settings for skyward sword and found 4x native to provide slightly more detail than 3x native with 2xaa, the latter did remove slightly more aliasing but also caused a bit of a washed out effect so have opted for 4x native with no additional antialiasing. Performance is about the same for each option, this is with all enhancements on.

There's also an option to offload texture decoding to the GPU using OpenCL, tried this but didn't notice much difference in performance.

 

Awesome guys - thanks for the link. Silly me tried just slapping a disk in my drive and found that it locked the drive (couldn't eject it till I finally physically powered it down) and was causing crazy hangs on my system including the inability to stop processes even with an elevated taskman. Once I powered down and got the disk out of my drive my machine was back to normal. I'll take a look at those links and see if I can enjoy some of my old games I never got a chance to play.

arma2, it's pretty cool that you can use dogs to chase down enemies in the new acr dlc.





and there's some flood scenarios too where you gotta save people from drowning

btw - Some people complain about Arma 2 graphics, but I really like the look of the landscape and the realistic (not oversaturated) color palette.
