wow zombies in skyrim ?
Amazing Skyrim shots! Are there mods that would make Fallout 3 or New Vegas look as good? I am assuming the games are running different engines.
Yeah it's a mod called TES Z :giggle2:
They are all based on a very similar engine but with skyrim having a modified and improved version. Many similar mods are available for all of them, you can find them on the nexus sites.

From looking at those Skyrim shots.
BlackZero, Shaderlord and Painter - Your Skyrim shots may be the most beautiful outdoor settings I've ever seen and that is compared to Stalker series, GTA 4 / EFLC, and Crysis fully modded with hires textures and HDR (ENBseries) addons.
ARMA 2's outdoor settings does not even come close to that fidelity.
I bet it's like taking a vacation just walking around in that game... If only Skyrim was a shooter game with guns, I would be all over that.
It's the other way around for me. shooter became too boring after i got into the RPG universe. x10 the gameplay, x10 the challenge = me happy

jonas , can you post a screenshots of the settings and maybe config or regedit of that game please ? looks like fun !
Sure, game is a bit crude but I enjoy it, translation is a bit rough too unfortunately, I think it's Vietnam's first commercial game release or maybe it was their first game studio, I'm not 100% sure.
Saw it a couple of months back when it was released in Vietnam itself and a few other countries, seems Gamersgate picked it up for release worldwide.
Gamersgate has this "Blue Coins" system you get part of the money back depending on your user level (from 1 to 5) and some other things, I normally use it to grab DLC for free but when this game appeared for around 10 Euro only I used them for this purchase.
I'd say they did a good job with the game, mimicked some of the early Call of Duty titles a bit but it works pretty well, nice to see the Vietnam conflict from a different perspective as well compared to titles such as Vietcong.
I've just started with the game so I don't know much about how it'll go from here, not found much to complain about yet though which is positive.
(As I said it's a bit rough visually and translation can be a bit off grammatically but it's not that bad, I tend to enjoy these lesser known games quite a bit however so maybe I am a bit biased, heh.)
thanks jonas, just bought it
I hope you enjoy it then, they try to keep things very authentic but also with a lot of action and drama but it usually works very well.
Easy difficulty which I started with means you recover rather fast and can take a few hits without dying, you still need to be careful though as dying is very easy since you usually have a small squad versus a fortified enemy division or at the very least a more equipped and technically superior enemy force, you'll notice this early on in the first mission which sets the stage for the game, I think they also keep it rather historically accurate but I'm not too good at this part of history myself so I can't say for sure, certain things are no doubt adapted to better fit a game environment but it feels quite genuine.
You'll also have difficulty with equipment but you can normally grab some gear from fallen soldiers and if you keep to the more common rifles it's a bit easier to manage but said rifles while powerful are also slow and rather inaccurate compared to imported weapons like the Thompson or MP44 SMG rifles but those weapons in turn can be difficult to maintain ammo for.
(Also there's a bit of hand-holding with the objectives or rather how they are displayed.)
A few hits are usually enough to kill a enemy but it depends where you hit and of course with what weapon though some of the soldiers might be a bit tougher than expected.
(Some of them can take quite a beating before they go down.)
Havok is used in the game and at a rather recent version, ragdoll and such physics work pretty well but some characters can animate a bit stiffly or how to describe it, PhysX is also used at a simpler level for certain effects but overall it works quite nicely.
Textures are rather detailed but some can feel a bit flat, game engine can handle lighting and shadows but sometimes it's a bit simple, no doubt some of my images above show this for the larger parts of the city location later on in the level.
Not sure what else to say at the moment, they probably didn't have much of a budget compared to western studios but the game is pretty solid and there haven't been any glitches or other bugs yet which is very good.
(I thought there would be more technical issues but I've not encountered anything so far.)
well im a sucker for these type of games. i actually dont like modern combat games any more. prefer the old ones. ill be playing through the game with a rifle only if possible, im not praying and spraying
Thanks for your mini-review
+1000..The game looks bad.
My thoughts exactly....it looks great modded up...but the game play kills it for me.
