Thanks for correcting that, Bethesda's download page was totally screwed earlier and showed incorrect links with incorrect titles. Quality control ftw!

I think I was at 24-25 level-wise. I was at about 80-90 hours also. I like to beat a game like this completely because it will be a long time before I go back to it. There are too many other titles that I have to dig into.

I reached level 20 already. I heard that the DLC ups the level cap. I tried looking for the download link for Operation Anchorage but I couldn't find it until I saw Windows Live. You have to pay for it?

It's the third DLC "Broken Steel" that will increase the level cap from 20 to 30 and introduce a bunch of other stuff involving the Brotherhood of Steel, to be released later in April it seems like.

Pitt should be out fairly soon though now that the update for it is out.

New screens from the second DLC "The Pitt"
    http://www.gamershell.com/xbox360/fallout_3_the_pitt/screenshots.html

As for the patch it only solves those two "bugs"

Being able to run more than one DLC at a time.

    Achievements for the new DLC.

As such there will probably be a similar "patch" for the next DLC. :)
(Patch currently also doesn't work with the Fallout Script Extender or FOSE as it's also called.)

Posted a bit about the patch previously (Along with some minor details on the DLC via just LIVE) but it seems some languages use 1.4.05 whereas others use 1.4.06, patch from LIVE that I downloaded was 1.4.06 though.

EDIT: Release date set to March 24th. :)

(Expected it a bit earlier actually but more time for them to develop and test it, Anchorage has a few bugs as a example.)

I can't seem to bring myself to end the current game on my laptop.:p I've been on level 20 forever. But, as much as I'm dyin' for something new, I couldn't bring myself to buy 1000 windows points (or whatever they're called) for Operation Anchorage. But I'm thinkin about it ....

    Couple Q's:

    - please correct me if I'm wrong but you gotta buy 1000 Games for Windows points to get OA, even though OA costs 800. I'm thinkin' the Pitt and the other add-on will work the same, so you'll end up buying 3000 points to use 2400 of 'em? (And use 600 towards some other product I guess. Interesting business model. I imagine you'd often have a few points left over whenever you buy your game(s), so have incentive to keep buying. Nice hook.)

    - with steam, I loaded FO3 on my desktop and my lappy from one purchase - but, since OA doesn't come through steam, can I do that with a single purchase of OA?

    Thanks.

I'm not even too sure. I think 1000 points is around $15Cdn ($12.50US)?

I scoped out Bethesda's FO3 forum for some feedback on the DLC - Operation Alaska sounds pretty ok, but not like anything I'll regret skipping altogether. At least for now.

As mentioned in the Bethesda forum, I'd like to see some add-ons that create new adventures in the good ol' wasteland. Stuff like maybe a quest taking back Megaton from an invasion of supermutants, or some kind of expanded Chinese remnant base or alien landing site - that kind of thing
