make sure you have no conflicting settings aa/af etc. set in the ccc, only set them in the game/launcher.

edit: Also if you keep having issues delete both the fallou.ini and falloutpref.ini files in your user/documents/my games/fallout 3 folder, upon restart fallout will recreate the files.

 

I have weird lag issues too. My framerate is like 75 yet it feels choppy :S Can't figure out why ! :bang::bang::bang:

 

What drivers are you nVidia guys running with?

183.43 here and getting bluescreens once every 5 hours (yes, it's that good, lol). Temps seem fine so I'm guessing it's the driver. Also, when VATS zooms in on a character, it sometimes loads for 1-2 seconds and thats where I've gotten all my bluescreens.

 

40 miles there 40 miles back.... got my game in my hand!!! installing now
was dumb not even my friggin local walmart had it, i had to drive 80 stinkin miles to another walmart to get it rofl.

 

I was also pissed at walmart, went to get it on midnight on launchday, none of the 8 stores within 40 miles had the PC version!! I had to wait till 4pm the next day to go and get it from bestbuy. Major pain in the ass.

 

I'm running with 178.13 I think the latest WHQL - I'm not updating drivers everytime they arrive, if I do, I can't do anything but that.

My setting are set to ultra 15xAF 4xAA 1680x1050 lowest FPS around 35 outdoor.

 

I'm running 180.43 too, not a single problem except the fps drops a bit when going into and exiting from vats.

The game scales, you can do the whole game at low level if you wanted to. That is the big change from the original Fallouts, they did not scale. If you found yourself somewhere your not meant to be, its splatter city. Not so on Fallout 3, I do find it a big challange, which is great. I am tired of the semi hard, but mostly easy.

 

I get 60 indoors and 30-40 outside - factor in you CPU and you would be getting close to 50/60 outside.

 

I'm almost at lvl 17 and DC is an absolute warzone, the people aren't lying. Trying to stay alive with sh-tloads of super mutants everywhere is unbelievable. I have to stop playing though, my girlfriend is back in town

 

hi people i have got a problem with this game i have been playing for 2hours and every so ofter i get a 1inch gfx glitch on the right side of the screen were the desktop pops up and flickers then goes again, also i get no stuttering but i have had the game freeze twice now were ive had to ctrl+alt+del to exit the game is this normal

 

Desktop flickering and then going, sounds like your virus scnanner/ messaging utility pooping up some info window.

I do get grass textures flashing sometimes.

 

I'm having the same issue damien. No pop-ups to be found. It's a strange issue, but I can look past it for now since the game is so freaking good. I hardly even notice that three or so inches on the right side of the screen has my desktop wallpaper flickering though..lol.

 

Close windows sidebar

 

im having a similar problem where the sidebar and desktop keeps flashing onto the screen. i have disabled the sidebar and disabled visual themes and desktop compostion and all is fine now

 

Its VISTA Gadget bar. I disabled it to fix this ;P
