The Guru3D Fallout 3 PC Thread Pt. 2

I got this game when it came out and the performance on my prior SLI system left something to be desired. I just got a 280 a day ago and this game freaking flies. Although I beat it the first time I played it I haven't touched it in months, what is a good mod to start with that makes the game more interesting and the game feel more balanced?

 

just finished zeta last night,really enjoyed it,only have the pitt to go now....i have over 200hrs of play and im only level 19 cause of the xfo mods,this way i can level up at a ateady pace and explore the game nicely,i have only seen half of the wasteland, here is my mod list....

Do you ever experience any crashes?

I'm using 16 plug-ins only and I think it's too much already.

 

I've done Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout
Just hit Level 30

I've explored the entire Wasteland, The Pitt, Point Lookout.
Gonna' do Zeta next.
After that I guess I'm done unless I start a new game.
It was a good run. Excellent game. Got my monies worth.

 

whats wrong with fallout3nexus.com , ive been trying for the last 15mins to access the site but says internet explorer cant display webpage. why, has it closed? if so where else can i access all those awesome mods?

Don't worry it hasn't closed, the site's owner had to change servers and geographic location as well, he had to move everything and re-configure lots of things, so it obviously takes time. The site is back on for me however, since yesterday in fact. But I think that the endorsement/rating system is still off as well as commenting in the forums, but I'm not sure I'll have to check again today.

It's working fine for me, and many others, I haven't seen reports of anything wrong about F3Nexus on the Bethesda forums, and believe me if F3Nexus would be down since days we would have hundreds of posts about it on those forums. The problem must be on your side I would say, perhaps I'm wrong but then why would I and almost everyone out there don't have problems with it.

 

well i cant see how , i can access my emails and any other website, i even searched google and clicked on the link from there and i get same thing everytime since yesterday;

There is nothing wrong with my connection ive been downloading all morning from other sites

and noones answered my other question yet: whats another site as good as fallout3nexus for mods?

Well I don't know man.

All I can say is that the site was indeed down for roughly 30 hours or so, perhaps 48 hours but I didn't noticed, between the 3rd and 5th of this month, that's when DarkOne, the site owner, moved to the new servers in UK I believe, and since the 5th it's been working fine at least for me. It's a little slow sometimes, but everything works, even the forums and endorsement system is back on since yesterday.

 

well is there another site to get mods from im missing nexus badly i need more mods

still not working - i even reset I.E with no luck, why can i access every other site i go to, download thru I.E and utorrent but cant go to www.fallout3nexus.com what am i doing wrong? i really need another mod site for fallout 3 cause this sucks. why can everyone else access it but me?
