There were too many threads about Crysis going on at the same time. So I've closed them all and from now on we're going to keep the Crysis discussion to this thread. As we get closer to the official launch there's no doubt going to be wild west in here, but please try to think before making a new thread. 99% of those threads can be avoided by posting in here instead.

Also; I don't want to see that same old piracy dirt throwing discussion again. So I'm just gonna do it very simple: the next person who thinks it's smart to throw some dirt on another member in the name of piracy, for or against, is getting banned from the games section.

    Happy posting.

Crysis to me is the one level in the demo... lol. ive played maybe 10 hours of it total. using only a pistol.. then only melee, now that is REAL hard, throwing objects and stealthing for almost every kill.

I cant actually imagine more levels, it will be like seeing baby jesus

I wonder if this demo has been discussed to death at this stage? After all, the game is out in less than a week.

BTW, considering both the beta's and the demo have had the /cfg files to mess aorund with, I can safely assume the same will hold true for the full game

    Hey John :)

Good call on this matter !

Now regarding the Collectors Edition, Elemental Dragon gave me the impression that there's doubt about what the Collectors Edition is gonna contain ?

    From Gamestop :
Individually numbered box - with plastic Crysis sleeve
    2 DVDs containing game
    1 DVD including:
    "Making of Crysis" feature
Meet the developers' vignettes (5 x talking head interviews with show reels)
    Initial Crysis concept video
Concept and production artwork show reel
    Official soundtrack audio CD
    16 page concept art book

    From www.billigespil.dk
    - "Making of Crysis" featurette taking you inside the making of the epic game
    - A unique in-game vehicle
    - "Meet the Developers" vignettes with the lead designers at Crytek
    - The initial Crysis concept video that started it all, along with key trailers
    - A show reel of original concept and production artwork from the team
    - 32 page concept art book
    - Official soundtrack of all original music by the award-winning composer Inon Zur (past video game credits include Baldur’s Gate II, Prince of Persia and Everquest II)
    - Steel collector's case

    So what gives ?
    16 or 32 page booklet ?

I did, well not very much since I got it not that long ago.. But hell yeah, its definetely worth it. The details will not be on max though, but it runs pretty well with medium details, and some on high. And no doublt that it will run better on your rig since you've got a dual core there ;)
Can't wait to get home and have some fun with this game (I'm at uni now).

Anyone know whats so special with the vehicle? or is it that collectors edition users will be able to use it in multiplayer on the stock maps on unmodded servers. Because the NK Amphibian APC is avaible in the sandbox in the Demo(and it works)

I know many guys have the full game now, but for those who still have the demo: has anyone noticed that, in the editor, spawning (Ctrl-G) right behind the frozen ship lets you watch the aliens?

I've decided,i'm going to wait till next month to get Crysis.

I'm just not as interested in it anymore and the performance in demo has pretty much irked my enthusiasm for it so i'm going to wait and see if any driver updates/Patches for the game boost performance.

I'll gladly sit by and wait for more reviews and general opinions of the game for the time being, this month UT3 is the big one for me.

I think full game is a bit better optimized. My system runs most settings on medium, some on high, 1200x1024, No-AA/AF, and I get a steady 25-30 FPS which is REALLY playable. Anything above 15 FPS is playable.

15fps - REALLY PLAYABLE...:puke2: - that's my opinion, but if it's ok for you, than have a good time gaiming...... :beam: going back to COD4 (GOTY for sure)

The demo was not playable (for me) with my settings on my sig and using 169.04

You can still switch to DX9 in Vista and medium settings with AA off and get acceptable framerates, but I'm not going to buy this game and settle for lower settings. You gotta play a game as good looking as this with all the eye candy on!

As someone on another thread said..."back to COD4 for me!" :D
