Well, just got around to rigging up the Corsair H50 to my GTX470 to the empty space where the fan was in hopes it would cool the metal frame just a little bit... Post this in the fail section because it didnt do anything:wanker: haha. Temps all remain the same!
My assumptions of the quality of the Corsair H50 still remains the same because its not that good for really high overclocking. At least I tried it out. Its a waste of an effort to try to attach it on the actual GPU though.

Here are some pics of how it looks before I put everything back.

lulz, I know I know! That setup that guy hasnt isnt bad. I might actually have to do that since it would be cheaper. Since it removes the tank, it will save me some space and weight. If I remove the GTX470 heatsink, I think I can fit that kind of waterblock on inside the cover too. I am surprised I havent seen this earlier...

alright guru's, prepare to go WTF?! A candy apple red GTX 470...

[IMG] RAAAH, I need to get some stuff to remove the stupid sticker left on the side panel from quakecon..

    **larger pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/pfulmtl/

A few pages back, I noted that I was getting my GTX 470 cover painted by a guy I work with who also custom paints show cars. Since the cover was just sitting around, I figure I let him do whatever he wanted with it. He was originally going to paint it candy apple blue, but that wouldnt have really worked with my color scheme.

Its kinda hard to tell how good it looks from the pictures, but in person, its pretty amazing. Everyone in my dept was like "OMFG thats badass!", some were like "you have a FOUR SEVENTY!?", then there was "whats a four seventy?". This is pretty expensive car paint heh, but since I've worked on his PC's before, we are pretty even.

In the future, I will be having him paint some of my project cases for my home PC's and then eventually some cases he's going to try to sell. Link to his car stuff http://www.torresempire.com/samplehomepage.htm
Next mod to my setup will be white cable sleeving on everything, maybe paint the PSU case the same red color, and I might do a design on the side panel and the bottom floor of the case, but Im not sure what yet.
