Sweet machine you have there. The thing about going red or green is my idea, since the logo is generally 80 or 90% red with silver highlights, I wanted my machine to emulate the logo of ATi. Your machine has basically done the same thing with the Nvidia logo. Since the Nvidia logo is setup up with a diferent proportion of colors, generally green and black ..probably 50% of each, your machine is the same way. Here's some more pics of what I mean with my ATi:

    My "Dark Knight" project

This is the machine I'm going to be working on for quite some time, mainly acquiring parts. It will be an all-black theme. Even the motherboard will be black:

love the all gloss black case, thought about spraying the inside too? Also finding parts with black PCB's isn't quite as difficult as it used to be as the majority of nvidia components around now are on black pcb's apart from some of the vanila cards. Should be a looker when you've finished it.

Thanks for all of the compliments. Regarding the HDDs for my Crossfire system, Wolfman is correct, I put both of them up there with a customized shelf I stole from a server case I have. I routed all the wires and cables down the front, inside the cover and through a slot I cut down below. You can see the wires snaking from the front bottom to the board.

I don't have as many as might think but I do have more than 5. One I sold. The others, I'm trying to go into business selling computers and parts. But I still have some if anyone is interested. All I'd have to do is reformat the drives and ship them out without an OS or, if preferred, I can install the OS...as long as it's WindowsXP, that's all I like and have for now...and get it optimized. Or, whoever would buy one, I can leave the OS off and ship it to be installed by the owner. :)

I'm considering it. There's a heck of a lot of work involved just in masking things off so overspray won't ruin the outside. However, if I do decide to do it, I'll probably use a flat paint. Automotive trim type is the best for durability. I'd have to spray all of the insides to match. I really haven't decided yet. :)

This is what it looks like black all over :)

I'm taking forever because my board is on holiday so i have plenty time.

If i get this done it will be cheaper than a new case.

This steel is tough, gone through 20 dremel discs, moved to high speed disc and reinforced now. So many sparks. So far i've removed the mounts for the psu and the extra hdd's, some holes to drill yet and the slot on the roof for the fans.

I wish i could pay somebody to do this as i'm busy working.

Anyway haven't had time to take a new pic so here is an old one ;)

I'm not trying to get ahead of myself, I already have one project going and I like to leisurely work on just one at a time but, check this out:

    Excellent! :)

What brand case is that? And, that's the fun in for me. I'd never let anyone else do the loving work. :) Anyway, I do it for relaxation, to sooth my nerves from ...erm..some very troubling things.

EDIT- Oh, wait, that's the one in your sig, right? Doh!

I thought about taking the unpainted parts out of the black case and either painting them gloss black or having them powder coated a gloss black but, upon carefully looking the case over, I decided, although there is no difficulty in removing the parts, I wouldn't do it because there are some specialized rivets...flush ones...that I don't have to reinstall it all.

Since the board, black as it is, has some silver and even red and various other colors going on, I'll add covers and such to minimize the unpainted framework and allow some silver to show. It's either that or painting the board and other components solid black...lol

yeah.... i don't think you'll like the Aluminus much. used mine for less than a year.... now have the Cosmos. I mean... it's nice, due to the fact that it's all aluminum and light as hell. but sucks due to the fact that.... it's all aluminum. screws for the expansion slots strip out quite easily.... which can cause the small strip of aluminum between the expansion slots to vibrate againts the card that's in the slot. Not entirely that many cooling options. the front 120mm fan is damn near useless unless you cut out the HD bays, which just wouldn't make sense due to the fact that the reversible hard drives (having the wires going towards the other side of the case) is probably one of it's best features. just wasn't a happy camper with that case.

I hear ya, but I have fixes for all of that. That's what modding is..lol :D But, yeah, they look nice but are very flimsy. The Chieftec aluminum Dragon, the one this Aluminus is modeled on, was a fine example of how to do an aluminum case. I have a couple of those.

Nevertheless, there's going to be some modding going on. For one thing, there will not only be the 120mm in front but also one more 120 and two 140s. :D
