Anyone has asus 1080ti oc review vBIOS? I bought this card and would like the factory oc mode to be always on.
Hilbert doesn't have the card or bios anymore.

Thanks for the replies guys. In the end I got the Strix OC from Asus, awesome card. I can really tell the difference, everything got much smoother and I can finally afford 4K without playing at 30 fps. I am very satisfied. The card boosts to 2GHz with no OC, I don't know if I can try a bit more, honestly I am getting great perfs already.

I have the Asus Strix... cant but recommend it, its quiet, excellent performance, nothing bad to say actually... The only thing if you have to search for negatives, is its 2.5 slot... but with this card, both with the price and performance, most wont get 2, need, afford 2, but even if you do, there are motherboards with the 3-4slots in between SLI...

Edit: Damn, timing sux as usual, you posted while i was writing this, but you took the right one, so it doesnt matter! :p I love mine!

Hehe! They're both great cards for sure... I got the OC version because it was the only one available on the shop I usually buy from.

Anyway, yesterday I got something weird happening. I was playing the last Ass Creed (max details, 4k) and I left the game for a couple of mins, as I came back the screen went blank with no signal and the PC reset itself. Maybe the card doesn't get enough power/voltage from the MoBo? I don't know, I never had such an issue with the 980Ti. Using Win 10 1709 and the 388.31 drivers, no OC on the GPU.

If your system isn't OCed (unstable CPU/memory etc can cause resets) then more than likely a power issue.

CPU and RAM are indeed OC'ed, I'll try giving some more voltage.

I think reverting everything to default is a better idea if you want to check if CPU and RAM are not causing the issue.
Then you can fine tune your voltages and your o/cing.

Thx, will do more tests. Anyway it happened only once, but better safe than sorry...

Nice one DStealth! Also, grats on your new platform. I'm struggling with not giving in and upgrading my 5820K/Rampage V combo. But I have to resist, at least a little bit more! :D

You're not missing out on any performance.
Most newer titles will perform exactly the same; you'll be GPU limited for a long time.

I know that, but the thing that's bugging me is that my X99 build seems to have become unstable and CPU might have gone into degradation. My memory won't run at its 3000MHz XMP anymore, or if it does, not all modules will show up (just 12 or even just 8 out of 16GB), only 2666 still works. Now I don't know if it's the memory controller, but when I tested out each dimm individually there were no issues. So yeah, it might sooner come to be an upgrade out of necessity rather than obsolescence.

As for the my 1080Ti, since I got my Dell S2716DG, I came to realize that my OC wasn't that stable there either, with the high frames and usage I started hitting power cap in demanding games a lot more frequently and it would instant crash. So I had to go for just +100 on core and +600 memory, performance in benchmarks didn't drop that much though, but at least now I'm 100% stable on the GPU side.

Highly unlikely you have had degregation unless voltages were really high such as vccsa/vccio/vcore/input voltage etc.

Probably need to retune from scratch.

Disappearing RAM is from post DRAM training, if it detects errors it shuts off the channel.
Above voltages need to be correct and also too tight auto RTL/IO timings can cause that too.

I'll have to look into it, thing is that I haven't played around with the system OC for a long time, that's why I thought it weird to have this happening without me changing any settings. The voltages are mostly on auto (RAM had the defaults for its XMP), 1.25 vcore. Maybe this was a culprit too, too much voltage going in on auto, but there were just so many settings and quite frankly I'm not much of an expert when it comes to all the various voltages, hence why I didn't touch them.

To top it all off, my first Rampage V was DOA so I didn't want to fiddle too much with the replacement 3 years ago, because RMA was a pain in the ass and meant me having no PC for 2-3 weeks.

I swear OC was much more straight forward with my 920 and 3770K.

I got myself an i7 8700k and an Asus gaming board to complement my 1080ti just to be in this group... Will be doing some 5ghz clocking soon

You should make a separate thread then.

Auto voltages are almost never optimal.
In fact, auto likes to raise it above the 'max' recommended voltage.

Any idea where those settings are on a Rampage V? I couldn't find them.
