It's the other way around, I actually think I won the lottery too, because the card comes at stock boost of 1950MHz core clock and I can put +138 100% stable (aka 2088-2101MHz) in games, also ran hours of Time Spy, Fire Strike, Heaven loops and played games like GTA V, Witcher 3, Wildlands, BF1, Rise of the Tomb Raider with zero issues. It can even do 2114MHz in benches. :O

And yes, all this with +600 memory aka 12.2GHz (+100 voltage, 117 power, 90 temp, + 138 core, +600 memory, custom fan profile with fan at 100% when it reaches 70 degrees. Card never went over 61, even with 2114 core @ 80% fan speed though). After what you told me I re-benched yesterday 3DM11, Firestrike, Timespy and Ungine ones at +400, +500, +600 and again +600 always gave the best result. So don't know, maybe it would be more noticeable in-games but since I still play capped at 60, I never see the drop there either.

With my 1070 (also Gaming X, but SAMSUNG memory) I could push memory to +700 before it started to drop performance. It could even do +800 with 0 artifacts or crashed, just that the performance was worse than with +700.

Voltage? I wouldn't run 1.093v for an additional 70MHz. I wouldn't run any additional voltage with this card. Voltage, not just high heat, kills.

It's for an additional 138MHz... and I never had problems before with max voltage. I'm not planning on keeping the card for 5 years either. That being said, I might actually not need +100 voltage for 2101MHz, need it for 2114 though. I'll check.

I dont see that core and/or mem speeds have any effect on stability or scores once you hit that 120% power limit.
Whatever i have set as core and mem speeds the card will throttle once it hits 120%. Thats why it seems everybody is hitting similar Time Spy graphics scores of 10500 (+/- 100 due to other hardware constraints like PCIE type etc).
I have run my card (an MSI FE) fully stable at 2150 but that doesn't mean the card runs faster than it does at 2050 as the 120% decides on the actual core speed being applied.

    Hi there

Thanks, I would do few pictures how it looks, 2*GTX1080 will be used with Ti for rendering mostly

Just hope will OC bit better than my other EVGA GTX1080 which doesn't OC as good as my no name Manli GTX1080 which do 2164MHz and EVGA GTX1080 will do only 2100MHz

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Should receive my first stuff (the card and stuff for the custom loop) today, and hopefully, soon the EKWB blocks :infinity:

I should run the test again.

Shunt mod = I dont know what that is :p
    Voltage = Need to check
Temps = ~47 degrees if I remember correctly

Thanks :D Yea I guess this chip has a limit after all.

I found out that my limit in Timespy is ~11000 graphics score, even if it's +138 or +150 on core. But I'm more than satisfied with these clocks. To be above that you probably have to be really, REALLY lucky with a chip, but even then you would probably get voltage limited and throttle even without knowing, like some have already pointed out. Either way, great card(s). :p

I have not tried the HB bridges since when they came out I already had the intention of leaving the mGPU camp in the more or less near future. I did try putting two bridges on my 980s though, didn't see any difference though.

I might do a bit of checking on stuff, although I am hardly a bencher. Any ideas what I could use to see what numerical differences I get, besides what I perceive as "gains" when playing and looking at the shadowplay OSD fps counter? :D

Check this site out Nether, along with different threads on reddit or overclock.net where those steps are repeated and explained. Basically, afaik, it's about playing tricks on the GPU's power delivery to make it take moar powah! :D

With 2101 you should have like 500+point more...you're badly power limited.
    I had ~32300@2088 w/o mods http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12318864 ; http://www.3dmark.com/fs/12318972

Hey DStealth, when you say power limited, do you mean the max power that you can get in the GPU with manufacturer specs, what was it for MSI Gaming X 1080 Ti, 330W?

Is that what you meant by one of my older screenshots by throttling, even though I had 2.1GHz on core stable, I don't actually get the benefit from that due to hitting power limit?

So the "extra voltage" that I give through AB doesn't basically do much, since the card is hitting that power limit even without me giving it?

I should be getting my EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 within the next hour! Really looking forward to testing it out and getting better framerates in those games that almost but don't quite hit 60 fps maxed out at 2560x1440 on my current GTX 1080 FTW, e.g. Mass Effect Andromeda, GTA V and The Division.

Darren don't forget Witcher 3 with maxed foliage and maxed hairworks, it's freaking fantastic now. :D

Be wary though, ME:A won't be 60 fps inside the Tempest with some cutscenes, it's just buggy mess really, because it can happen in scenes that are nowhere near as visually impressive as others where there's 60 fps with no problems... just bad coding.
