    Thanks!

I thought about it and I would obviously preferred an AIB card but this was €80 cheaper than the next cheapest 1080(Palit Jetstream).

Also with the profit I made from selling a few cards it ended up costing quite less than a 1070. :D

I'm also not bother by noise. I have the fan at 85-100% when gaming and it rarely breaks 70-71'C(Vsync 60-65'C). The floor fan next to it drowns its noise anw. :p

Now I'm contemplating about a block for it but I'll wait to see if any custom bios will show up.

Overall pretty happy with the FE card and I must say the GTX 1080 FE cooler vs the Titan X(M) cooler is inaudible in comparison.

Also a small tip for those who use Curve in AB. Dont forget to use (L) key to lock your highest clock at the voltage your card handles if your card throttles down.

Sometimes it helps keeping higher boost@higher volts.

There already is a custom bios for the 1080, although i wouldn't recommend using it on a fe.

Can u specify what program locks the highest clock and also explain how your creating the curve? thanks in advance.

Wich 1080 is the absolute best and fastest?

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Water cooling looks pretty interesting and should give me some OC'ing room.

Second, would my i7 3770 be having a hard time with the card?
I'm thinking of upgrading to skylake next month if necessary, else i'm going for a more newer power supply and case cause my i7 3770 gets quiet hot in my current case.

There were cases with the 1080 watercooled gigabyte to be unstable over 2088mhz, its more about luck, get the best cooled one you can find. That might be the watercooled gigabyte one, lol. Point is it's no guarantee to overclock nicely.

Edit: i have the strix one and mounted the arctic hybrid on it and in timespy for example it stays mostly at 2126 mhz stable, didn't try oc.ing it more yet. Will do so when i flash the custom bios, but tomorrow maybe.

I'd get the Hybrid but it's not available in Holland yet.

Your running 250+ core clock with the Palit JS? No negative effects? No shut downs, blue screens? what is your temps like? Do you have a modded bios?
I got my Palit Jet Stream up to 175+ but I do not dare go further

I see the EVGA FTW version is available now, but after seeing the Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming version i'm getting that one.

Seems to have better cooling and clocks pretty high right out of the box.

save up for 1080TI, it will be a much better upgrade/investment by raw gpu speed.
What's 2-4months extra wait and have a bigger wow factor..

I had to return the Zotac gtx 1080 Amp edition because it has hitting 86c while gaming @ core 2012. I went to my local Microcenter and found a open box Amp Extream for only $12 dollars more, and guess what this bad boy hits 2100, plus the temps don't go over 58c under heavy load.....

Bummer it seems to runs at 2100 but heaven benchmark crashes, so I had to down clock the 1080 to 2075 the make the overclock stable.:)
