Well since both core/memory OC provides about 10-15% gains, if you take out the core clock OC then I doubt the memory OC alone will provide much gains.

Also a small note that some suggest don't go above +400-450MHz since sometimes above +450MHz it affects the performance negatively.

Everyone is wanting +2GHz because well, it the breakout of the 1.xxxGHz "barrier"(without LN2 use).

Reminds me of the time when P3 broke 1GHz around year 2000. lol.

All GTX 1080 as stated in many reviews will perform really close to each other.

I'm sure the KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC will serve you well.

I went to Best Buy to buy new Xbox one controller for PC cuz my was broken. I just happened to saw Geforce GTX 1080 FE for sale at 699 dollars and I don't know if I should buy it cuz I have been waiting for EVGA GTX 1080 FTW.

Should I forget about EVGA and grab those Geforce GTX 1080 FE?

I have GTX 970 right now and I would love to have 1080, so, i can set everything at max at 1440p

I see that Best Buy OK-Texas doesn't have any custom cards for sale. Could be wrong.

I would wait or order from elsewhere a custom(MSI X, GB XG, ASUS Strix etc) which might be end up even cheaper or same price of

But if ordering/buying a custom is not possible, then a FE will do fine.

Do the Nvidia store models include the new high bandwidth SLI bridge?

Yup, this is something that might be fixed with a driver update.

Just picked up an Inno3d Twinx2. This thing gets warm unfortunately so I've had to set a more aggressive fan profile.

What kind of overclocks on average are we seeing for stock clock GTX1080s? Roughly +200/+400?

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, the fan profile was pretty mild at stock, and with a 1800 or so boost I was already hitting 79 degrees. I set a more aggressive profile to keep it low 70's.

I guess I'll try for 2000 on the core then. Any idea on memory OC? I've read pretty much don't go past +400 as that's when things start to go wonky.

Mine stays mostly at 2101mhz in firestrike for example but sometimes it downclocks to 2076mhz or clocks to 2114mhz , as for the memory i'm still experimenting, i have it at 550+ right now but probably won't be stable in everything . Need to test more not just in firestrike and haven. But now i need to go to work.

Don't know it its the cause of the stuttering but its been reported that too much memory OC can have negative impact on performance with GTX 1080.

For those who follow JayzTwoCents on Youtube he did a FireStrike benchmarking test with his main Water cooled rig SkunkWorks where he put 3 titan Xs vs 2 1080s and the results are pretty phenomenal. 2 1080s come with in a few thousand Graphics points from 3 Titan Xs. (2,445 away on Extreme and 2,675 away on Ultra) Just fast forward the video to 3:31 to see the benchmark results.
