69-71 degrees OCd, fan speed max 55% which is 1250 RPM (I think? Dont remember but can check at home). I can honestly barely hear it and that's without headphones. This temp is maintained regardless of what I'm playing, if it's DOTA2 which has 50% GPU load or AC:Unity at 99% load.
Thats indeed very low, can u test the witcher 3 if u can and tell whats the temps are then after like a 30 min of play ?
Sure, I've tried Witcher 3 but only for a few minutes. Will do a longer playthrough this evening. I did play Doom for 2hrs yesterday and I had MSI AB OSD up at all times and didnt see the temps increase higher than 71 degrees. I could even decrease all case fans since it's so quiet I run my front ones at 75% but all others at 50%.
Doom is not so heavy on the gpu, doom where like 73-75c on my old g1 gtx 980 ti gpu when sli was disabled. Can u try autofan with witcher 3 if u want ?
Hey Jamva, was thinking about upgrading my pre-order from the FTW to the MSI G X... I sent a webnote in because I didn't want to be further back in the queue than I was already. This was the response I got when I asked how many in the queue for the gaming X.. Thank you for your webnote, You're welcome and currently less than 30 pre order on that card. Regards, I don't know what to think? Did 44 people cancel there order or have that many people received there cards? Either way think I'm going to go for the MSI - only ever had MSI cards so seems a shame to change for the sake of a few quid!
I'll play some now but remember that I had way higher 980Ti temps than you Doom for me was at 80 degrees OCd and would most certainly been at 83 degrees in SLI (temp target).
I maxed the fans (gosh, what a noise) and added +140 on the core. Sure, it did stabilize at 2101 MHz but with artefacts Not an extreme amount, just enough to make me worry. Temps are insane though Spoiler
Absolutely no-one has received the FTW , except the glitch they claimed happened when they accidentaly sent a few to newegg LOL. Their big first batch will all be going to people who ordered on their website before they ship any to third party stores :3eyes: Also i don't know how loud the EVGA cards are but what i've seen they generally spin to 1900RPM ? when gaming , you already know how good your MSI cards are like with heat and noise , the 1080 is a similarly powered to the 970 so it should be very similar to what you have now. I know the MSI gaming is very expensive but you'll have it for the next few years , Better the devil you know i think Best of luck
Result! I'm not jealous at all :3eyes::wanker: Going to call them and change my order tomorrow. I know I shouldn't but the MSI Aero is a tempting buy at £533...? anyone here ordered one?
1.08v seems pretty low for 2100Mhz+ maybe need to add more voltage to be stable at those clockspeeds?? Dunno myself order of my 1080 still hasn't shipped..
Played Witcher for 30minutes and max is still 72 degrees Haha that would be something if it wasn't for the artefacts. I'll record a video and post it here I've maxed the lot Reckon something's wrong with the card?
Can someone max-out and play Far Cry 4 for at least 30mins (preferably later stages in the game) and report back whether it crashes or not? Cheers!
So I bottled it and ordered the MSI Aero over the Gaming X :infinity: hope I made the right decision. With the extra bit of cash I saved I put too and ordered a i7 4790k also OCUK have said it will arrive together on the 17th. *fingers crossed*
Result! Enjoy your purchase , the 1080 will be an awesome card for you. PS:- I don't want to tempt you , but you could just eat tins of beans and spend the extra £36 to upgrade to this custom MSI :infinity: :- GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...dr5x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-321-ms.html £569.99
