Hmm... Not too happy about the cooler performance. Since the fans are more or less the same as on my current card, it looks like it's not going to be very quiet card. One the RPM goes above 2000 you things can get noisy rather quickly. They tested it in open bench so I expect it go go well above 2300 RPM inside case.

Probelm isn't the power draw, but the small space the heat is generated on... it's a challange, and putting the same cooler on the 1080 than on the 980 does bring inferior results due to contact area being smaller, heat the same though.

To me personally it reads like Pascal would be good for watercooling, yet the cut down voltage / power is really a bugger... I wonder if there will be any news on this soon.

The design looks sweet but as you say, the overall performance is questionable.

I dont like the looks of the card looks butt ugly but @ least it got nice thermal temps compared to the MSI X version :)

Well it looks like a Batmobile or something ;) Looks are very subjective but I agree that the MSI cards have a certain appeal to them.

Shame, mid June is not too bad though. The 10th could be classed as mid June so you may not have to wait long.

Yeah here you pay for the 1759 MHz 120 euro more that means that you pay for an base clock improvement of 38 MHz against the base clock of the FTW in my opinion thats over the top !

True but probably also highest gpu temp after certain hours of playing with that clockspeed i think.

Look at my beastly 980Ti Xtreme going! Didn't know it hold up that well again the GTX 1080 and even beat the GTX 1070!

Also if cooler is as good as the Xtreme Windforce cooler then its a damn good one!

    Approved!

Me Too! Well one of them LOL

After looking again after thinking about waiting for the big chip , with the MSI Overclocked 1080 pushing onto 200W the big card is going to be using too much power and be too hot for my liking. I like my system too be cool and quiet.

If this is your first time with MSI for a few years then you're in for a treat , they're deadly silent :)

Hi the rep on OCUK dan@evga just post this a couple of hours ago on their forums so you're probably not gonna get it this week , maybe not even next week :infinity::-

'Yes we will not reach FTW before 17th at the earliest. Dragon Boat Holidays start Thursday so 4 days with no production will not help.'
