I was thinking the same thing. All the numbers would have been so off for every card. If that was the max usage of the cards.

I've seen so many inconsistencies in the reviews between yesterday and today ...

I'm curious if this HB SLI bridge is bogus or real.

In that case I suppose the 1080Ti will be the best solution for you when it comes out.

Inconsistency is prevalent and ruling. Issue is with people having really varied testing methods. But then again we get loads of baselines to look at.

Didn't phrase that well. It is the whole system, but at stock the system consumes 244, while boosting at max it consumes an additional 40 wats. So the actual max power reaches 220w instead of the 180 given by nvidia.

I get it now...90% of all reviews atm are over hyped fan based...or simply by channels/ tech publishers funded by Nvidia in some way. I need to see the "honest" ones w/o crazy graphs and such...real, raw numbers: 980Ti VS 1080 (stock); 980Ti max OC VS 1080 (or clock by clock). Imo, we get "honest" reviews/ benchmarks (in real games) when 1080/ 1070 will be selling in real life :D ...for now, it's just PR bs...imo.

    PS. I wonder, how 980Ti would perform in 4k with 8Gb GDDR5x ??!! :D ...or with 8Gb GDDR5x and at the same core/ vram clocks as 1080 ?!

It would be faster with same clocks in some benchies or most.

At same clocks the 980ti would perform better of course,by far.

Yup that sounds about right... theoretical tflops numbers below.

    GTX980Ti @ 1520Mhz = ~8.6 TFLOPS

    for comparison:
    GTX1080 @ 2050Mhz = ~10.5 TFLOPS

The Flops numbers based of this formula: "# Cuda Core" * "Boost Clockspeed" * 2 Floating-Point Ops per Clock / 1000^2

I'm gonna FLOP all over two of these on the 27th/28th.

It's boosting above its stock clocks, most 1080 boost to around 1850mhz. That's 120mhz higher than the advertised boost

Is the founders editions EVGA, MSI or any other will be selling, identical to the Nvidia's founder's edition..

Yes... at most it will have an EVGA sticker or something like that.

GTX 1080 Founder's Edition UK Prices Spotted?

    http://i.imgur.com/pbBUiO0.png

Looks like they're swapping $ for £ directly in the UK again when it comes to high-end graphics card launch pricing, if this image is to be believed.

Edit: That's the equivalent of $1020.59 we'll be paying in the UK. Any sympathy from you guys in the States? None?

We all get bent over the barrel to some extent but you guys in the UK (and elsewhere) have to take it with no lube.

Speaking of which, I feel (genuinely) for your TV Licensing fees of ~£150/year. Perhaps a VAT on the air you breathe is next.
