I EVGA GeForce GTX1070 8GB Gaming ACX 3.0 (non-SC) and it's absolutely a fantastic card. Ridiculously quiet. There's no point in paying for SC version, by the way, if you can get the non-SC ACX 3.0 version cheaper. I bought mine directly from EVGA for 459 € + shipping.

I would prefer a custom AIB card which I think only 3 are from the lot you posted. If I'm not mistaken that is.

Personally I would choose between Gainward Phoenix or the G1 Gaming since the MSI Armor's cooler is imo a bit weaker than the other two.

    No problem. :p

The Zotac on the right is an AMP! GTX 970 for sale and the 1070 G1 is for a friends 6700k build.

And that monster below is the 980Ti AMP! Extreme I'm currently using. :D

    2) golden sample. coolest, quietest, and fastest of the bunch. You get a golden sample that clocks beyond 2ghz out of the box. I got one myself coming from the msi gamer x that couldn´t go beyond 1925mhz.

Yes I've got the exact same issue as u on my g1. Anything over 150 and she bricks. Can't load the OC into Windows without it checker ingredients and restarting. I have to hotkey my oc profile in afterburner and manually set it each time I play. With voltage locked to 1.05v I get 2100 core and 500mem oc 100% stable for hours and hours games and benches alike.

My unit from Amazon has Micron ... meh. Never have had luck OC'ing VRAM so I guess it won't change anything at all for me lol.

As I test more especially with 4k and 2k dsr there's no game I can run on max and I'm not even ocing. Using default outta the box oc and everything is running the way I want no problem. Problem is I don't like the very small text with some games running 4k dsr. RE4HD edition looks great with 4kdsr but still the game even with updated textures looks it's age but still is very fun.

I still think it's a lottery with any of the AIB cards because with mine I can easily got +700 mem without artifacts and 130+ on core. Some cards arn't very good that some get and can't oc for sh!t or have problems with gpu boost 3.0 right from the get go which anybody that has that problem should send it back and hope for better.

Thank god I got mine and everything was smooth and can get that 2100Mhz if I wanted. I'm sure just like most of the forum posters that it's mostly choosing cooling and look because they hampered the card so much with the 1070.

I'm so loving mine atm.Currently experimenting with DSR 4k locked at 40 fps in GTA 5, with same settings I use for smooth 60 fps at 1920x1080 and I get very little to no tearing with vsync off.Even the cutscene anime is smoothed out too.Seriously considering playing through the rest of it like this and this is with default clocks. :)

    Just to clarify :

    Advanced Graphics:
    Maxed

    Graphics:
    AA - Off
    Reflection AA - Off
    Grass Quality - Very High
    Soft Shadows - Nvidia PCSS
    Motion Blur - Off

Asus Strix OC, Zotac Extreme Amp or MSI Gaming Z 8G?

I always wanted MSI card, however the recent QA issues and micron lottery scarred me away. I would like to match my MSI mobo.

I almost bought EVGA FTW but there is a lot of reports of coil whine issues.

    Please advise.

Never used EVGA before. I was always Gigabyte and Asus type of user, but the quality of the EVGA FTW I recently used, was TOP notch. Very elegant, clean and high quality graphic card. I never give a BS about coil whine, plus all cards from all companies can have it.

No coil whine on my brand new EVGA 1070 FTW. Using an EVGA 650w G2 with it.

    Thanks guys..
I'm leaning towards dual fan gpus. Evga ftw or msi gaming z..... Hmmm...

    Ftw owners:
What clocks do you get? And is the card quiet?

Mine got 2012mhz out the box. If I set 60% fan I still get 2000mhz during gameplay.
