I know HH, that was my mistake and i told you it will not happen again. Im trying but you can see how he behave. Its like hes doing it on purpose just to bring others down.

I really hope we can make an agreement and stop fighting becouse i dont want anyone to leave this forum.

That mod works on almost any Geforce Card (GTX 680 >) ... also conductive paint is a good replacement if you can't find liquid metal

I've seen people use a pencil as well.

Saw that vid last week I think, I have some Conductnoaut on the way, so I may be trying it soon! Also got a little Kyronouat on route to so may use that on the GPU see if it does any better than the EK paste that came with my block. Not that temps are bad, highest I've seen with overclock is 41c but if I can make it lower I will lol

Keep us posted if you do the mod. I am still on the fence as to weather I'm gonna get a second 1070 and water cool them or just say screw it and stay single card on air until Vega/Volta.

Will do mate, hoping to OC more with it, as I'm definitely not temp limited.

What res do you game at? Anything under 1440p and I'd stick with just one! I game at 1440p, oddly not done much gaming since I bought it lol, but what I have done I've been very happy with, Fallout 4 can be a bit weird in places, but Metros' been running like a champ! I played Skyrim at 3620*2036 ran great!

Not sure adding a 2nd will do much for me, though I'd like my next monitor to be 3440*1440 100Hz so I may look at Volta next year if its out next year.

I'd prefer to stick with single GPU now, having done CF6950s and CF7970s the last 4-5years I'm done with multi GPU lol

The shunt resistor is a bit big for a pencil mod ... but probably will work

I have a GTX 1070@2076/9200MHz, GTX 980Ti@1493/8100 and a GTX 970@1531+/7800MHz with me in case any of the above gents wants me to compare them(already have ofc but just saying) for the sake of that 980 vs 1070 vs 980Ti argument.

Also again just for the sake of it if it helps.

Rise of Tomb Raider DX12 VH/FXAA(same as Hilbert's settings) using the internal bench:

    1080p:
    GTX 970@1531/7800 = 69ish FPS
    GTX 980Ti@1493/8100 = 134ish FPS
    GTX 1070@2076/9200 = 128ish FPS

    1440p(DSR):
    GTX 980Ti@1493/8100 = 89ish FPS
    GTX 1070@2076/9200 = 83ish FPS

    Specs: 6700K@4.5, RAM 3600CL16, W10 all updated, 369.09 drivers.

I'm using a Qnix QHD monitor now but plan to hook up to a 4K TV for leisure gaming. Plus I used my last cards for 4years would like to do the same again if possible.
The video in question was a 1500Mhz 980 (non Ti) vs. a stock 1070. Some good overclocks you got there.

Thanks for sharing, this will hopefully put the nonsense about 1070 not being a huge upgrade from the 980 to bed.

Nice to see the ti doing so well too ;)

I wouldnt say huge tbh(980@1500 vs stock 1070) but its a worthy upgrade for sure. :p

In terms of firestrike graphic scores:
    My 980(1531-7810) scores around 16500
    My new 1070 FTW(2012-4007) scores 19538

So 1070 factory oc'ed had 118.3% the performance of the absolute limit of oc a 980 can go(the gigabyte g1 was the ultimate 980).

Update on my 1070 OC Dying light did not crash with a half hour of gameplay with +130 core and +700 mem, and was going from 2075 to 2120mhz in boost. I'm glad It can be stable now and I'm having a itch to get a 1440p monitor but trying to stay away from it if I can lol. too much money spent on the card and games now.

Back to default OC for me, but maybe I should keep the mem OC'd Hmmmmm.

Can someone with max OC post FS Extreme, just curious how it does,.. I've been looking around a little, but a bit lazy to go through this whole thread.:nerd:

Here is my max stable OC 980Ti @ 1482mhz/ ram 300mhz offset (100mhz+ bios flash included) for comparison,

just a little shy of 10K by gpu score lol

Bummer...I'm only able to get a +400 mem oc. Anything much past that, and the screen turns to speckles.

    Here's
    [IMG]

1080 is exactly 20% more in this bench with 24/7 settings just a little over 12k GPU

Best score i got sofar. Core max boost 2139mhz, vram +750mhz. Phoenix gtx 1070 golden sample, mind you the crappy motherboard though.

Fanspeed 50% kept the card below 55°c for the whole run.

Any chance everyone can post their HUGE screenshots in a Spoiler?

Not all of us have a 16K Monitor.

Okay so my voltage control is not doing anything on my 1070 SC. Using 4.3.0 B4
