the only 1070 available in croatia for now is zotac founder's edition for 610 dollars.

Waiting for the MSI gaming, + saving money and trying to offload the 970.

Not that i'm not happy with the 970, but shiny new things are always good, and more AA and downsampling are always great :)

:pc1:I'm astounded that the prices are so steep in other places. But as far as the 1070 goes I might skip it and just buy a used 980ti and wait for awhile. The card seems to come to or lil bit above the 980ti and the 384bit mem seems to match the 8gbs of 256bit.

I'm trying to get a 980ti for a decent price but alot of them are going for allot still wonder If I should wait til the 1070 actually comes out for a price drop.

:boob:Thank god I waited for the review of the MSI 1070 Gaming X, I think I know which card I'm getting now. It made me believe that with the kinda OC this has along with the DX12 support and lower power consumption and cool aftermarket cooler it should be a very nice upgrade indeed.

Finally MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X has been reviewed by Guru3d but so sad to see that its much slower than Zotac 980 Ti Amp extreme hahahaha, people were saying that custom made gtx 1070 would be faster than 980 Ti but look at those results. I guess 980 ti owners won't be thinking of to change their card over this crappy card

Why would 980Ti owners be looking to change their cards over to one that was designed to perform roughly the same at a lower price point?

    Your argument is terrible.

Not terrible bro its just Nvidia should have considered when launching their new product. Gamers were sure that new GPU will definitely be more powerful then their legacy GPUs but gtx 1070 was a crap GPU launch.

    Why?

The 970 was slower then a 780Ti. The 770 was a rebranded 680. The 670 was slightly faster then a 580. The 570 was about the same as a 480.

The x70 cards have historically had roughly the same performance as the x80 series of the previous generation. Why would you expect that to be different now? It's nearly half the price for the same performance. Seems fine.

And nvidia did consider everything this time. They responded to the previous gen supply and demand patterns.

970 destroyed the 780, and was trading blows with a TI, often beating it at 1080p due to the insane core clock OC potential. kepler users felt neglected. So now you have a 980ti doing well against the 1070.

They also realized that the 970 and 980ti made the 980 a terrible buy. you could OC the 970 to reach stock 980 performance, and the 980ti was just in a league of its own, making the 980 a card no one wants.

So now the 1080 stock is always faster than even a masivelly OC'ed 1070, and I expect the 1080ti will also be positioned so that the 1080 doesn't become a card no one wants to buy anymore.

You can't blame nvidia for taking note of how the consumer thinks.

Remember when 970 come out and 780ti was still a faster card? Well, not anymore. You can probably expect same thing this time around.

For 980ti owners there is no need to look at 1070 but if someone is thinking and debating between 980ti and 1070, choice is abvious.

The 1080's would have to be downclocked pretty significantly. It would be more likely to see two 1070's.

Idk if they will do it though. The dual GPU cards don't seem to sell well in general. It's kind of just a waste of dies, especially when they are having trouble supplying them currently.

Only 2 days until official launch, and still no pre-orders available here. Not even a price.

For those that don't have a 980 Ti or higher card, the 1070 is a good card. There is no alternative at the price point.

With the cheaper 1080 versions coming out atm, i guess same happens with 1070?

I'm seeing 1080's for 649,99 atm, on release there were only founders editions for 799,99.

And about 530 € and up here in Funland. Suddenly a Polaris or two is starting to sound better deal...

Keep in mind that you will go on a hunt for crossfire profiles, and the rest of the time you've to either wait or blame the devs for not supporting it.
