I first bought a EVGA GTX 1070 SC, but returned it and got an FTW. Great card. Part of the reason I switched was the store I bought it from had the FTW cheaper and a no questions asked return policy.

Yeah the same thing that I saw between Newegg's price of the FTW edition and Amazon's price of the SC edition that the FTW was cheaper.

Got mine this last Monday and love it. Its a MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G.
I currently game in 1080p and I'm maxing and playing on Ultra an all games thus far.
    So far I've tried:
    Doom
    Bioshock Infinite
    Forza 6 Apex
    Shadow Warrior

I scored 12,800+ on demo of 3D Mark and it stated I'm better than 86% of PC's.
Very Happy and right where I want to be. Seems the card is bench marking very well and is only getting beat by the 1080 and once in awhile.
This is the first GPU I've had that you can customize the lights, so even though that is a novelty, its nice being able to match your color scheme.

Let me know of the kind of OC that you get with the card.

Doing +115 on clock and +600 on memory. Core Voltage 60%, Power Limit 112%. Runs great in Doom, GTA V, Witcher 3 and Valley.

The issue I am having is I can only get +90 on the clock when running Firestrike. It driver crashes. Even upping voltage does nothing. Yet TimeSpy runs perfect at +115 as with all my games. The SC ran perfect at +100 in Firestrike. I have no idea why the FTW would be iffy in only Firestrike. I am going to try different memory clocks etc later. The FTW also maintains a higher steady clock. Slightly over 2100....the SC capped at 2060ish and jumped around.

Temp is also very good. Stock curve only hit 67c at the highest. Custom curve I can keep it in the high 50c's.

I tried using the MSI Gaming APP just for the sake of customizing the LED and it's really as bad as I thought it would. Pure bloatware, conflicts with MSI AB, messes up my OC and the worse part is you can't change the LED and save it on the GPU (like you can with Corsair H115i and Corsair Link for example), no, you HAVE to have it running all the time. :bang:

I gave up on it, uninstalled it and call it a day. Even though the "breathing" animation with red light looked sick, it's not worth the bloat...

That's one of the things I love about Zotac's Spectra lighting. The settings are stored on the GPU, so I don't have to have firestorm constantly running..

Definitely, the same thing is done on my new H115i cooler. But in the case of MSI, why no incorporate LED control in the already existing and greatly operating MSI AB instead?

Just out of curiosity I inserted the disc that came with my card, and both MSI AB and this Gaming APP thing was on it. So they officially support it, why bother with an inferior buggy product? :bang:

Time Spy - 5950 combined, 6246 / 4691 gpu/cpu. This bench seems to do well with more memory overclock. Temps getting close to 70, so I think I'm starting to see the limits of the FE cooling.

CPU at 4.6, core/mem @ +180/440 on the gpu and +12% power cap.

Strangly enough that does not change the clock or mV

You're very close to the limits of this card from what I've seen.

I have a quick question. Will my Cpu be able to handle the GTX 1070 with limited or no bottleneck?

Oke I gave almost everything up and pushes it to 2113 MHz still stable but I don't want to go any higher safety whise

It could go a bit higher but I leave that up to the pro's in here :)

Don't see any issues there, your OC is good enough.
