The problem with *nix on gaming is standardization. Within the Windows environment, users just expect things to work. You expect your LED lights, 3D audio and whiz bang macro enabled keyboard and mouse to work and have professional supported drivers. *nix is not going to get that due to the very nature of wanting open source and more or less free labor. To my way of thinking the *nix paradigm is what keeps it niche in the gaming space. Until that changes, that where it stays. Also for the masses....

Lutris v0.5.5: ACO+RADV (shader compiler) and initial support for VKD3D (Direct3D 12 over Vulkan)

ACO has already made a huge impact on my overall gameplay experience, where games that used to stutter or lockup on occasion for seconds no longer does and I know a lot of people, who just want it to work "out of the box", but are afraid of taking the big step towards a free platform (without additional steps) https://lutris.net/downloads/ and now they have it.

Mesa 20.2 driver will enable ACO by default

The only thing left now is OpenGL support, but I think that's way out: https://github.com/daniel-schuermann/mesa/issues/98

I know it's wishfull thinking that it would get merged with DXVK anytime soon, but we'll still be better off by having Valve involved.
