Okay, I wanted to ask where The Expanse went from Netflix, and here I got the answer again, reminding me that it switched to amazon. Thanks fellow gurus! Sadly, as I wanted to give this show a second chance, I can't rewatch S1 and S2 now, since amazon in their wisdom decided to charge instead of making it a amazon prime show. Then... no thanks, not paying 15€ per season extra.
This must be due to the different streaming rights per territory. In the US, S1 and S2 are included with Prime but S3 in not.
Be patient, this is likely to change when the new season launches as a prime exclusive, I would imagine amazon is going to be promoting it with all guns blazing.
Oh thanks for the information... yeah I just checked, S1+2 are pay, but... ... also true, and makes sense. Well, if so I'll give it another go, since by heart, good sci fi isn't around enough. And since everybody seems to like it after the first few episodes, I think I might have quit on it too quickly.
Just noticed they removed this show from netflix. Bummer...I was going to get around to watching this. Not going to pay for amazon because half their content is region blocked here.
Yeah we have amazon prime here in Taiwan but it's a complete rip off as much of the content will come up as "not available in your region". No way I am paying for that. Until now everything I wanted to watch has been on Netflix and I've been satisfied with Netflix premium. I'll just end up getting it through other means.
I just saw this update on the expanse worldwide. You may want to check if they become available with Prime in your location. "Seasons 1-2 of “The Expanse” are currently available in the U.S. on Prime Video. All three seasons, comprising 36 episodes in all, will become available on the service in over 200 countries and territories starting Feb. 8." https://www.imdb.com/news/ni62348030 Season 1-3 now available in the US on Prime Video in UHD.
https://io9.gizmodo.com/hell-yeah-burn-gorman-is-joining-the-expanse-1832425897 Burn Gorman added as Adolphus Murtry, didn't know it until I read this but could be a bit of perfect casting right there. Anyone who's read Cibola Burn will know who he is.
Season 3 on prime! Awesome! Gonna binge that son of a bitch starting right about... NOW. ( yea haven't seen it yet )
I am telling you watching them spin up the Behemoth half way through the season brought a tear to my eye. The entire season has so many amazing moments from the books that are just fantastic getting to see them brought to the screen.
Just thought I would drop a small update here for you folks who may have an interest in models and The Expanse. I posted a few months back about a scratch build I was trying my hand at to add to my Roci model. Well after four months of design and building and texturing and learning how to use Blender, PSP and a few other programs and techniques I am proud to show off the results of my work. MCRN Donnager. A log of my build which goes in to a lot more detail along with a whole load more photos of my progress with this build is posted over at these forums here http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/alternate-dimensions/42560-expanse-mcrn-donnager.html If anyone is interested in trying their hand at this build I am currently writing up the instructions for the build and will post the design in the link above.
Just to save me the trouble, can anyone tell me what the prospect of a new season is looking like? I'd hate to think I've seen the end of it.
Season 4 has wrapped filming and is currently in post production, I would expect it to drop on Amazon Prime by the end of the this year.
Tough question. I thought that Fringe and Continuum were in SyFy scope, but no. (Both have finished with actual final season, actual finale and actually meaningful story end.) On Wiki I saw Battlestar Galactica written under them. But that's one of hundreds. Edit: And continuum is Actually on that list too. Edit2: But cancelation of series like Helix did piss me off quite a lot.
