The Evil Within from Bethesda (Shinji Mikami)

Yeah its a cheat engine script.. I don't know why people use those things on new games. Takes the fun out of the game real quick.. However if you have beat a game a couple of times and want to fool around then fine. Using one though to beat the game for the first time is for newbs..

 

The map pieces you can pick up appear in the ward where you upgrade your skills.
They gather on a wall behind the nurses' desk.
It's one of the collectibles in the game and not so much a map to help you see your way around.

 

I thought it just fixed the FOV, and removed the black bars ?.

 

Autohotkey will let you change any button and even lets you combine two buttons into one key "macro".

Or go to Options/controls "click to change" then change the keys to something else.

 

well, THIS TIME people use it to FIX the game, not to cheat, Cheat Engine is sooo much more then just a CHeating tool..

Fixing FOV or adding FOV options, in this case here..

i mostly only use cheat engine for screenshots and well, "fixes" i guess..

 

Oh maybe that script does but I don't know since I didn't try it out but people use cheat engine mainly for cheating. Like making god mode or giving yourself free money, skill points and anything else a game might have. Kind of like a trainer would but with a lot more options.

I wonder how you can not know where to go, this game is very linear.

 

well i am using the fov fix 2.0 works a treat at adding better fov but how do i remove the borders as well wouldn't so much bother me if they where on the top and bottom but there on the left and right sides as well

ultra wide 3440x1440 fix needed.

EDIT: well i got rid of the top and bottom black bars using the command : +R_FORCEASPECTRATIO 0

thing is when i do that my frames get worse lol
from 30fps solid to 25-26fps in places, and if i remove the command i get solid 30fps......

this game engine is weird.

While I think these fixes are great, after playing the game both ways I personally enjoy the game more with the default aspect ratio and fps. It's really nice having the option to play it both ways though.

 

Thanks for this, tried it and while I can change FOV I still have bars all round? Using 3440x1440 LG monitor, does this fix make it native? If not will have to wait for the flawless widescreen one...

 

u need to add teh Command to the shortcut or in the CFG from the game..
thats where u change teh black bars..

this is what u need to add:

+R_FORCEASPECTRATIO 0
or
+R_FORCEASPECTRATIO 1.8

dunno wich one it was..
u can also just open up teh console ingame and write it there..(without the +)

easyer to test around..

I couldn't find the stupid chainsaw you need in one level. I finally got it.

If it were up to me, itd be pulled from steam.

 

Then I'm personally glad it's not up to you.
As it's a great game.

 

Gameplay... for sure, nice throw back to the good days of horror. But as for quality control and performance, this is one of the worst ports ive ever seen.

Somehow, ports are getting worse and by buying them, you just showing publishers that they can get away with it.
