No screens or video yet. The add was pushed too soon, so it will probably be announced soon! Great stuff. Evil within 1 is without a doubt my favorite horror game of the last decade. I hope it gets this crazy again in part 2.
Now... if Bethesda announce Wolfenstein: TNC, some DOOM campaign content... and DisHonored II DLC... I'll be happy.
Never got to try the first one. Never knew there was a demo on steam. I heard the 1st one was locked to 30 fps?
There was a patch for the PS4 Pro that unlocked the framerate and removed the boarders. I presume the same is true for the PC version.
The demo is complete pile of ****. Even with letterbox on or off, it only covers 50% of my monitor on my 21:9. It runs 17fps full screen, but goes 60fps windowed. It hard locked my rig once. It runs exactly the same with 30 fps setting as well. Extremely disappointed. I dont know if I will even buy the first one for $5 even if it has a good story and I love horror games. Well see if 2nd one runs worth a damn.
Yes, PC version also got patched. I recommend trying the original+DLC's (without executioner) before second one comes out. It runs and looks great for couple of years old id tech 5. Sorry to see Agonist that your having issues.
There have been multiple patches for PC. And, the PC version received a patch to allow 60fps before the PS4 did. The update also removed the cinema-scope presentation Shinji campaigned for. The PC version is the best version of the game, as it received the most post-release attention and updates. I love the game. The demo on STEAM is not up to the final build the full game is. So, it suffers from a few issues that are not present in the full game. Also, along with Undying, I strongly recommend the game. Also, the two part "Consequence" DLC is incredible. Detailing other elements of the story, while changing up the gameplay a little. And, I also agree. The game looks great. Beautiful art direction creating an amazing atmosphere. While it is true the base engine was idTech5... Tango rewrote large portions of the engine. From the lighting code, physics, rendering... even switching it from OpenGL to DX (which was part of the reason for poor performance at release).... still, an amazing game. And I'm so hyped for Bethesda's showcase tonight.
i hope they made the PC version for PC , not a Xbox1 port with no real fullscreen mode and almost never smooth 60fps ( i'm sure it's capped at that rate even if with vsync off and the displayed fps is higher than 60)
God this looks so wonderfully twisted and awesome. Definitely going to be replaying the original soon. Also, kx11, they've patched the game a lot. Fullscreen has been available for a long time. And it's very easy to get and hold a solid 60fps. And it feels and plays great.
Fullscreen option in-game doesn't always = a real fullscreen it works like borderless window mode , i want a fullscreen mode that takes over my monitor and when i alt+tab out and back-in it keeps the game running @ fullscreen
